Pappa Joe — Restaurant in Groningen

The steak was OK, other than that a dreadful experience.

Ordered a beer, only got it after asking again 20 minutes later.

Ordered nachos with pulled pork as a starter... Got a plate of nachos without pork about 40 minutes later. After pointing this out, the plate was taken back to the kitchen.

10 minutes later they skipped right to our main course (2 entrecôtes). Only solution offered about our starter was cancelling the order.

The food tasted well (at least the part of our order that actually arrived), but was not worth the wait and money. It's never nice to see other people arrive later, yet receive their main before you get your starter.

Sadly, we found ourselves in the McD 15 minutes after leaving, still hungry, yet 40...

Personally I would choose the word "perfect" to describe every aspect of this restaurant. I've been here almost every 10 times in the past few months that I've lived in Groningen. The steaks and burgers are unbelievably delicious, the place is so comfortable and relaxing, the staffs are friendly, helpful, polite and professional. All around, it would be the first restaurant that I would recommend to anyone who wants to try Groningen. One thing to notice is that it might be a bit towards the high end when it comes to price but not too expensive as one...

We waited 45 minutes for our starter, only for the wrong order to arrive. When we pointed out that this was not what we had ordered the plate was taken back to the kitchen. When the waiter came back she did not bring our starter but instead our main course, and said that we could cancel our starter or have if after our main course. The starter was cancelled and the main course was of good quality. We left the place very frustrated that we had to wait such a long time but didn't even get to eat the starter we had ordered before the...
