The place looked nice and authentic. The service was relatively fast and the prices seemed reasonable. Then came the food... This is not Indonesian cuisine- this is not even Chinese, it’s just dry and tasteless disappointment on my plate. The four of us could not find anything edible. Maybe the satés at a stretch, but everything else was bland. First of all the chicken. It was a mound of tasteless, white filth, which quickly resembled razor blades as it painfully fought its way down, peircing the delicate lining of our regretful throats.The rice was white (that’s all I can say), and the noodles, well... the less said the better. At the end, none of us ate more than a quarter of our plate and we left particularly disappointed, and 81 euros lighter. I would probably not recommend. We usually order in from Satéhuis, but ate in the restaurant today for once. Friendly service and great food! Their saté is always on point, and going there I can see why, because the barbecue it, and you can sneak a peek into the open kitchen.
