Service was the worst I have experienced in my life. We were a group of five people who arrived at approximately 1830 and ordered at approximately 1900. For the next two hours only 2 of our 5 ordered dishes arrived. One of which was too salty to eat. When asked about the rest of the order, we were told the order got lost in communication and the kitchen did not have it. This meant another 40 mins of wait. We were then forced to leave and get food elsewhere since we were hungry. We were offered free pizza as compensation, but why would one want to wait another hour just for pizza? Terrible service in general, there was a obvious disconnect between the kitchen and the servers. I would advise the restaurant to accept reservations and work on their communication. But until then the five of us would not be returning.
Edit after owners response: all of us have been to countless Italian restaurants worldwide and we are aware of four cheese being salty. However, the pasta itself had more salty than all five of us have ever experienced. We chose to leave because none of the servers even checked in with us for the two hours we sat without food. Regarding the pizzas, your server did not even know that there were two pizzas being ordered, despite us ordering with the same server. Please consider letting your customers know if there is a fault in the system, and maybe check in on your customers when you see them visibly upset and without food for two...
Read moreTarantè 081! we are adviced to go for pizza by a colleague from Napoli 😊 First thing that must be mentioned the ingredients they use good quality and most probably imported from italy. 🇮🇹 Because especialy cheeses exceptionally good. pre-starter offered by chef, the bread and on top tomato sauce and parmesan was really tasty! We got as starter burrata served with extremely tasty dried tomato, was really good. As we came here for pizzas, we ordered 1 nduja and 1 truffel and we shared. Portion-wise satisfyingly big but! when the dough is not crispy especially in the center (okay corners of course well cooked), we get disappointed. Maybe because we ate much proper italian pizzas before at good quality restaurants, this was it. Here, the guys are a bit amateurs. There is no reservation required, and personel have difficulty to take care of people popping up in the restaurant. We had difficulty in ordering, as the staff is always busy due to crowd. We couldn’t order the second drinks 😁 l think opening reservations will help them too, in making more money in a planned manner and for better experience for customers. Tiramisu was not special, did not like it much. But the espresso was good! noted the coffee beans, were from Oro Caffè. Plus, be aware they do not have alcohol only soft drinks. l think they do not have the permission to serve...
Read moreI've been living in the netherlands for nearly a decade, and I have never felt as welcomed and cherished as in this restaurant. Every employee has a smile on their face and makes you feel at home. And that's not the best part of the restaurant, the food.. omg I don't even have words to describe how good it is. The pizzas are amazing, light and rich in flavour, specially the tomato sauce, it's from another world!!! It's genuenly like being in Napoli, and that a lot to say (not even in other parts of italy I have tasted a pizza like this one) highly recommended!!! And the pasta, what can I say, they are soo delicious, that no words do justice. I had the linguine with scampi and just the look of the plate was already promising, but when I tasted it, I knew this restaurant will become successful. They have just opened a few days ago and they have already made a difference. I love Tarante 081 so much that for the first time in my live I am here writing a review, because everyone should meet them and taste their food, they deserve the best. If Roberto and Michele (the owners and chef/pizzaiolo) are reading this, remember my words, with the passion you have, you will become unstoppable!
I wish you the best guys! And don't forget the table next to the...
