What a find. Nice, fun lady who runs the place. Excellent food: I had the rissoles which were delicious, followed by their apple pie. This pie beats any other I’ve ever tasted: spiced with a little cinnamon, and baked with a buttery sugar crust which was slightly caramelised. Both courses were perfect. A beautiful Cafe located in the entrance to the nearly 900 year old Pieterskerk Church in Leiden. This is the oldest church in the town of Leiden. The coffee is excellent and the almond cookies are fresh and delicious. They have a selection of sandwiches and local beers also. This cafe is located at Pieterskerk. With a high ceiling, big stained glass, classic hanging lamp, wooden interior, and calming piano music played in the background...
