With Love Burrito — Restaurant in Maastricht

Updated 2024: Not The Same. Sweet potato burrito with nothing but cabbage, sweet potato mush, drippy, hot sauce despite requested Mild, no Guacamole. Cheese? Not to be found, in spite of insistence from the 'cook'.

Friends from California in town. Drove up from Antwerp SPECIFICALLY to visit my favorite place in Maastricht for a proper burrito. They 'didn't see' the third order; friend waited while we tried to eat. No bottle opening done by staff, broken straws, no wc, and VERY insulted that I could not find any advertised ingredients in the burrito. They did not offer a different solution OR money back for 3 bites of a burrito that was not what I used to get here, a waste of money. It was embarrassing to let my guests see such rude staff after a long pilgrimage. She actually told me to 'drop the sarcasm.' How about Learn Customer Service, good behavior is usually gratis. Bye Bye Forever. As a Relocation Advisor, I know the good places everywhere, this one is past its prime. Even the lime slice was sticky and not fresh, strapped to the burrito with a rubber band; I had to ask for plates so as not to drip all over the table. Funky Finger Experience. Sad. Additionally, my guests both had the RUNS the whole next day, probably the bad hot sauce.

I was there with my boyfriend... It looks nice unfortunately the waitress misunderstood the sauce and made confusion between our Burritos and our names... So first I had the one of my boyfriend and then after, realizing it, we have exchange. Then : BAD SURPRISE! It was super spicy.... Mouth and lips on fire and I have asked the mild spicy... When I go back to the waitress to ask her, she was unfriendly and told me she has put medium spicy sauce on both... solution for her? Giving me a little pot with sauer sauce to make it less spicy... Of course, impossible to put it correctly on my burrito so impossible to continue eating it. In the end, I haven't eat and put the rest to the trash. Place to avoid except if you like super spicy burritos and don't expect people to be friendly, moreover when they make mistakes and are not friendly(you can make mistake, everyone makes some but at least you can be nice, that is...

The staff at the counter was very helpful and walked us through the order process in english and german. The people before and after us were served with the same enthusiasm in dutch and french. Great guy.

Now to the food experience. The non-spicy chicken burrito was very tasty, although some sauce dripped out of the bottom. I ordered the second-spiciest variant of the pulled beef burrito and was pre-warned on the hotness. The sauce suggested, peach something, went very well with the meat. Spiciness was as promised but totally within the limit one would expect. I would definitely pick the same level of spiciness again.

What we also liked was transparency on size and weight of the burrito, as well as a comprehensive description of the stuffing ingredients.

The wait was pleasantly short as well, pricing was adequate.
