A Culinary Homecoming: Simply the Best Italian Trattoria in the Netherlands!

From the moment you step through the unassuming entrance of this traditional family Italian trattoria in Rotterdam, you're not just entering a restaurant; you're arriving home. This isn't just the best Italian food in Rotterdam; it's quite possibly the finest, most authentic Italian dining experience in the entire Netherlands.

The secret lies in the unparalleled combination of divine traditional Italian cooking and service that transcends mere hospitality. The staff, with their genuine warmth and infectious passion, don't just serve you a meal; they welcome you into their family. Every interaction feels like catching up with a long-lost relative, making you feel cherished and utterly at ease. Their attention to detail is unmatched, anticipating your needs before you even voice them, and ensuring every moment of your visit is pure bliss.

And then, there's the food. Oh, the food! Each dish is a testament to generations of culinary tradition, prepared with an artistry and love that is palpable in every bite. From the rich, slow-cooked ragù that coats homemade pasta to the perfectly crisp, wood-fired pizzas, and the tender, flavorful meats, every item on the menu sings with authentic Italian soul. The ingredients are clearly of the highest quality, and the flavors are deep, comforting, and utterly divine – truly traditional Italian cooking at its peak.

Dining here is more than just eating; it's an experience for the senses, a journey to the heart of Italy without leaving Rotterdam. If you're searching for a place where the food is exquisite, the service is impeccable, and you leave feeling like you've just had the most wonderful family dinner, look no further. This trattoria is, without a doubt, simply the best. Five stars, without a...

I've visited this restaurant on 22th February 2025 with my friend. It's a good restaurant but there are issues.

Positive aspects: -The owner was very friendly and gave us enough time to finish our dessert and espresso while the next guests were waiting for our table. That was the reason why I gave extra tip. -The self-made bread was very good. -The Branzino Al-Sale tasted very good.

Neutral aspects: -The ravioli la limone tasted flat. The was no taste explosion in the mouth at all. 24,70 Euro is a very tough price to swallow. We see the true value at max. 15 Euro. -We were waiting a long time for the pre-course when were asked whether we wanted to have some bread for the meantime. We agreed to that but did not know that we were charged 7,50 Euro for that. With this knowledge we would have declined the offer and would have continued to wait for the pre-course. -The presentation of the Branzino al-Sale was, I'm truly sorry, boring. There must be a better way to present the vegetables. -The tables were standing very close to each other so there is no privacy if somebody is looking for that. -the lo stuzzuchino del Cuoco was a bit flat, especially the melon.

Summary: for the price we paid, this was definitely too expensive and we probably won't come back. We would give an overall four stars if the price would have been at around 120-130 Euro instead of 149,10 Euro. This we say without being a gastronome and we know that it is super tough to be one with the high inflation and overboarding regulation. On the other side we have to work really hard for our money and have to see which value we get for the money spent. If price is not a limitation, I advice people to come here, to make their own experience and to form their...

we had a delightful and great experience at Due Tonino yesterday. We had very friendly staff who were fast, efficient and customer-focused. we rarely had an empty table until we left.

we started with an aperitivo, a prosecco mixed with limoncello, while waiting for our antipasto we got bread with olives, a garlic sauce and a seperate olive sauce to dip the bread in. when we were done we received each two bruschette. my girlfriend had classic bruschette, while I got the ones with parmeggiano cheese and truffle flakes. incredible. i would definetely go to the restaurant again, just for these. After we each got a glass of their red house wine with a large aqua frizzante to share. the wine was good and lasted throughout the rest of our meal. as a main couese we both got spaghetti caccio e pepe. a classic italian dish, served to a high standard. we both enjoyed the dish very much.

after finishing we got a dessert, each a piece of tiramisu, which was delightful. very tasty, good size and perfect temperature.

we had an...

I had the pleasure of dining at this Italian restaurant in Rotterdam today, and I must say, it’s my number one compared to other Italian spots! The food is authentic traditional Italian cuisine, bursting with flavor. The atmosphere is warm and family-oriented – the owner personally greets you at the door and ensures every guest feels taken care of. The place was packed, which is always a good sign, and it’s clear that many people return regularly as they seemed to know the staff. The pasta dishes, appetizers, and even the little starter were all absolutely delicious. I’m truly impressed and can’t wait to come back!
