Walked in, stood at the bar for 5 minutes or more trying to catch the eye of one of the four bar staff (nobody else was waiting before me). Was ignored completely- not even a "be with you in a minute"- and two of the staff were even checking their phones instead of serving. They kept using the glass washer in front of my face and did not acknowledge us once. I was in plain sight, money in hand, with a friend, behaving normally and had not yet had anything to drink. 3.30pm on Easter Monday. Have i misunderstood how bars work?
