The good I liked the decor. Dark with splashes of colour. Vietnamese lanterns. Bamboo pendant lights. Lots of (fake) plants. The staff was young and inexperienced, but friendly.
The bad I called approx. 10 days in advance to reserve a table for 2. I usually do not call more than a week in advance to reserve a table. However, it was a special occasion (my friend’s birthday) so I wanted to make sure we had a table. The person I spoke to on the phone either did not write down my reservation correctly or forgot to write down my reservation completely. The hostess could not find our reservation. Her colleague told us, they had one table available from 6 to 7. If we wanted to, we could sit at that table for an hour. What was supposed to be a relaxing 2 hrs dinner became a rushed and hurried event.
The worst We were disappointed in the food. We both thought the food lacked flavour. I ordered the fresh spring rolls w/ prawns and the pho w/ beef. The fresh spring rolls were not tasty. Dipping them in the fish sauce and peanut sauce did not help. The pho was bland. Like it had not been seasoned at all. Adding a few squirts of sriracha sauce did not help. The beef, however, was surprisingly nice. It was tender and still...

It’s located in the heart of Rotterdam right at the beginning of the Witte de with straat, where you can find lots of food places, bars and places to dance.
There is a huge terrace in front of the restaurant but I recommend to go inside. The well decorated interior gives you a glimpse and feeling of being in Vietnam (but without the humid weather). The restaurant is very clean and the high ceilings make you feel easily very comfortable.
We usually order lots of dishes and share everything. The food and drinks are usually delivered quite fast. The service is always friendly, attentive and speaks multiple languages (English, Dutch and Vietnamese).
The food is very authentic, fresh and good. I highly recommend this place and also the famous beef noodle soup (Pho Bo) or just a noodle bowl (bun). But you will enjoy it the most in the traditional Vietnamese way: way some more people and a variety of different dishes (Sharing is caring). Also lots of vegetarian options!
Definitely worth the price. Can’t wait to come by very soon again.
PS: Don’t forget to try the...

We had a wonderful dinner at Madame Saigon on Witte de Withstraat. The atmosphere is warm and vibrant, with a stylish interior and a welcoming vibe that instantly sets the tone for a great evening.
We ordered the Pho and the Caramelised Sea Bass, and both dishes were absolutely outstanding. The Pho was rich, aromatic, and deeply comforting, the taste of the broth was so good! The Caramelised Sea Bass was a standout: perfectly cooked, delicately sweet, and beautifully balanced with fresh herbs and spices. We had fried rice on the side and the rice was very fragarant and taste yummie :-)
The service was friendly and attentive, and the cocktail bar added a fun, modern twist to the experience. We sat outside, the sunny terrace was the perfect spot for a summer evening.
Highly recommended for anyone that wants to have authentic Vietnamese flavors in a cozy yet contemporary setting....
