Went past and got the caramel chai latte, taro special with pearls and basic taro milk. All drinks tasted fine, however the tapioca pearl texture really needs to be worked on. Like I’ve had pearls in cold/frozen milk teas before and they still managed to maintain their chewy texture. So I thought maybe it was just my drink which was frozen (so didnt want to base my decision on my drink alone), however the pearls in the other two drinks were also not chewy and gritty. I feel that it’s ok to keep the popping boba soaked in the syrup/water, however, for the tapioca pearls, that needs to be kept at a particular temperature in order not to overcook them, yet warm enough for them to still have a nice soft and chewy texture (regardless of if you add them to a hot or cold drink). Boba was incredibly soggy and falling apart. Hardly had the spherical shape — was more like goop of some kind. The matcha taste was nice, but when the cup is 2/3 filled with ice, the flavor fades quickly. When it came to the “strawberry” smoothie, it had no fruity taste at all, natural or artificial. Just had a vaguely sweet, unpleasant taste. Couldn’t even finish it, threw out most of it.

Plus, why does the almond milk cost more than the soy milk? It’s not fair to people with soy and lactose allergies to be overcharged like this, especially when we saw that the soy and almond milk containers were both store brand items from the Albert Heijn that are sold there for the same price....

Unlike the other reviewer who raved about the taro milk, I thought this was the worst taro milk tea I've had. I order it pretty much everywhere I go, and I can't say I've ever had one that stood out as particularly bad...until now. My mom and I each got one, hers with less sugar, and we both threw them away after only a few sips. I never do that! It just tasted a bit artificial or something. And the tapioca was very bland (not like it's super flavourful, but this was just different) as well as smaller than normal, it seemed like. I was disappointed. The staff was friendly though!
