Here is How to Ruin Valentine’s Day:
I don’t even know where to start with this train wreck of a restaurant. From the moment we sat down at our wobbly table in the cold dining room—on chairs still covered in crumbs from the previous customers—I had a bad feeling. That feeling was only confirmed with every disappointing bite (or lack thereof).
Let’s start with the so-called coquilles. Nowhere did they bother to mention that you have to specifically ask for scallops if you actually want them. I had an entire conversation with the waitress about pairing white wine with scallops, yet somehow, I was served mushrooms instead—something I absolutely do not eat. If I had known, I never would have ordered it, but since the incompetent blonde waitress failed to mention this crucial detail, I paid for a dish I didn’t even touch.
Then came the main course disaster. I ordered lamb, but apparently, they were out and didn’t even realize it until after we had been waiting. Instead of informing us properly, they just threw together some random alternative dish with liver—without mentioning it contained liver. Neither of us eats liver, yet here we were, staring at a plate of something we had no intention of touching.
The fish dish? Completely flavorless. The halibut had no seasoning, no character, and to make matters worse, the portion was ridiculously small. If I wanted bland, tiny portions, I would have stayed home and boiled some plain rice.
The sides? An even bigger joke. The fries were so oily they could have fueled a car, yet somehow still managed to be limp and sad.
The wine selection? Laughable. After our original waitress ignored our empty wine glasses for 20 minutes, another waiter finally came over—only to try and convince me that Verdejo is similar to a nutty wine. I don’t know where they get their wine knowledge, but it’s certainly not from reality.
And the cherry on top? The bill. 200 euros. For what? A meal I barely ate, amateur service, and a freezing dining experience. I walked out hungry and furious.
If you enjoy wasting money and being disappointed, by all means, go. Otherwise, stay far away....
Read moreIt's cosy inside, one of the reasons (together with positive reviews) I chose this restaurant to celebrate a special occasion. I informed the cafe in advance, expecting a smooth and pleasant experience. Unfortunately, the reality was far from it. The waiting time for dishes was unbearably long: 30+ minutes for each course, even for something as simple as a baguette with a pre-made salad o crackers with pate. The starters were of only moderate quality The main dishes were a major letdown. The meat portion was extremely small and utterly tasteless. The fish, drenched in a fatty sauce and poorly prepared, was inedible. I returned the fish, hoping for some form of resolution, but the manager refused to remove it from the bill. Instead, they offered a meagre 50% discount on the returned dish, which was both disappointing and unprofessional. This experience was deeply frustrating, especially if you come to celebrate a special occasion and left a lasting negative impression. We spent totally about 160 euro and went out unhappy and hungry. I would not recommend...

I ordered a cocktail to start and said I would have wanted a beer afterwards. The waitress brushed it off saying it was a matter for later. End result: I had to ask for the beer twice more and by the time it came I was done eating.
Food: looks deceivingly good. We ordered the burgers with roquefort and the steak with Béarnaise sauce, with fries. Some 20 minutes later we got the fries. It took another 15 minutes for the rest of the food to arrive.
While the fries were ok, the burgers were overcooked and therefore dry inside, The roquefort was barely present. The Béarnaise sauce was overly vinagry, which made it so acid to kill everything else, so I couldn't taste neither the tarragon not the chervil. The other sauce on the plate, accompanying the vegetables, was heavy on garlic and not at all smooth in consistency. The steak was cooked well but without any basting of sorts which left it very...
