Terrible service, terrible experience. A blonde waitress served me and my friend at 6.30 today, didn't say hi, told us to choose our seat between two tables and then came back to tell us to leave from the same table she recommended, saying that the area was closed (note also that the place was half empty). We wanted to be understanding so we changed table. I ordered a latte without coffee and I receved a latte with coffee. I tried to be understanding so I had it anyway. I asked if it was possible to pay and she replied sarcastically "why would you think it wouldn't be possible to pay". I paid, then I kindly told her "I had it anyway but just so you know the latte I got had coffe in it" (I thought maybe this would help her to pay more attention and avoid re-doing the order for the next customer maybe). She literally laughed in my face and left without saying anything. Girl if you hate your job maybe you should considering working on yourself, doing therapy and and learning basic kindness and manners, so someone else might hire you. For sure I am not coming back to be treated like shjt while you still work...
Read moreLittle disappointed with our recent visit, we have been coming here as a bit of a family tradition when in The Hague for many years. Place always had a nice buzz to it with friendly and efficient service. But not so much any more. The Decor and seating seemed a little tired and the floor staff a little stressed out and inattentive. Also the food seems to have declined too. We had a sharing board that seemed Ill thought out and somehow not of the quality we have come to expect. I appreciate the issues with staffing at the moment and this requires deskilling the offerings from the kitchen and I guess floor staff too.( It took 30 minutes from asking for a glass of wine until we finally had to go up the bar to remind them) none of the food we had was made on site as far as I could tell, not even the torentart that was on offer, pretty sure they are bought frozen and defrosted in store. I do hope they can get back to the levels of before. But the coffee was...
Read moreI used to visit Café Dudok the whole of last year. The staff were friendly and made you feel comfortable. However, towards the end of last year, the staff changes, the service was rude and mediocre. They once served me Quiche Lorraine with a sweet base. I understand that It can get hectic in the kitchen and people make mistakes. I shared the feedback with a waitress who was Dutch. I thought it would be nice not to repeat the error towards other customers. That's all. Instead of accepting the feedback she got very defensive and said that in the Netherlands everyone has sweet quiche. Well, I happened to be there recently and once again I was welcomed by tired looking waiters and waitresses. The Management needs to step up and take care of their employees. It's clear that someone somewhere doesn't care. I love the place but I'll not come there again. Not worth my...
