I ordered food from this restaurant. The delivery person had a problem and therefore picked up the food one hour after it was ready. I called the restaurant with my concerns about the food not being edible as it was not the type you could keep warm/cold and would have definitely gone bad in the meantime. They told me right away that I should throw the food away as it was indeed not edible, but they gave it to Uber anyway because they didn't want to make a loss. They confirmed they knowingly sent me food that would make me sick. They told me to throw the food away and that I will be refunded by Uber. I told them Uber almost never refunds orders, and that they're responsible to make sure the food is edible the moment they give it to the delivery person. Indeed Uber refused to refund me fully. The restaurant staff were extremely rude when I called to inform them that I had not received a refund. When I reminded them that this was about more than just the money, and that they themselves didn't trust the food and told me to throw it away, they had the audacity to tell me that they didn't want to lose the money for the order, and why I was calling if I didn't care about the money. So they intentionally sent me food that could make me extremely sick, and didn't care even a bit about it. I would be very careful eating at an establishment that is willing to intentionally poison its customers...
Read morei am literally unable to exaggerate enough about how much i love this place. i had been searching for so long, trying to find a good bubble tea store, and my friends introduced me to viet street. maybe love at first sight is real 😍😍 i seize every opportunity i get to come here when i'm in centrum; it makes me excited every single time. its affordable, and great quality. the staff are also super sweet and great conversationalists. the wait time can be a bit extensive when the restaurant is busy; it's quite a small establishment; it doesn't really bother me at all, but i can see how it might hinder some people's impression. later on in the day, the tapioca can be a bit soft, so just watch out for that if the consistency of tapioca pearls bothers you. honestly, id recommend anything on the menu. ive ordered a variety of teas, and ive tried my friends' when they have ordered, and all of them have contented me. my favourites probably include: matcha with tapioca mango fruit tea with lychee jelly taro with tapioca or cheese cream lime fruit tea with popping lychee boba its important to keep in mind that this store does not have any lactose-free options. it is also considerably more expensive if you would like your drink warm.
overall, ugh i'm fangirling over this tiny store but i really do love it. you even get a cute lil card for a free drink....
Read moreThere are still not enough places where you can enjoy a decent bowl of noodle soup. So I tried this fairly new Vietnamese place. It's small and interior seems a little dark. But it's clean and has a kinda urban vibe. But what about the food? I tried the Special. This menu has 1 fried and 1 fresh springroll, both are delicious. Then the star of the menu, the Pho. It's hot, realy hot, that's good. Nothing worse than luke warm soup. The plastic chop sticks were a disaster, extreme slippery can't eat with those. So I asked for wooden sticks, less on the hygiene but more comfy :-) Rice noodles are chewy enough, bean sprouts and herbs are abundant and fresh. Soup is not salt, this is normal for Vietnamese cuisine. So I add a little nam pla, fish sauce. Then it's perfect to my taste palet. And there was a soft drink included aswell. Staff is real friendly and fast. I will come here...
