Carl's Jr. Manukau — Restaurant in Ōtara-Papatoetoe

Me and my friend decided to get Carl's Jr. For dinner the other night as I had never tried it before and wanted to give it a go. Despite my friends efforts to make us go to Wendy's I insisted on Carl's Jr. I should have listened to my friend.

When we were looking at the menu the writing was so small we couldn't read it and we are both young adults with healthy eyes. We ordered Combo #1 which was a chicken value burger, the Carl's Jr beef burger, Fries, and a drink as well as the chessy bacon fries. We were asked 3 times if we were ready to order while still looking at the menu. During payment we decided on a 50/50 split payment between the two of us, one paying cash, the other paying card. The lady that took out order didn't know how to do this so a manager was called in. My friend was charged $11 while I was charged $11.60 even though we had stated even split.

After ordering I needed to use the restroom so I went there. The bathroom was clean but while washing my hands I went to turn the par on and it slipped out of its socket. I had to hold it in place with one hand while I pushed it on with the other. The hand dryer was less then good.

We decided on sitting in one of the booths which only one was free. It was full of rubbish from a previous customer which looked like it had been vacant for a while. We decided on the high table which was sticky to the touch. We got our drink of Coke and when we tried it it was flat and tasted more like the Ninty nine cent brand of Coke.

The burgers were same level of satisfaction as the cheap burgers from McDonald's, the fries were disgusting and tasted like they had been fried in months old oil, the cheesy bacon fries we couldn't even finish. They were soggy the cheese sauce was revolting and the bacon peaces were flavorless.

My friend then went to the restroom before we left and felt so sick I ended up having to wait 20minutes for them. I myself felt nauseous after the cheesy bacon fries.

I would only recommend this place if you are fine eating the food that costs to much for its worth. I'll stick...

I am a uber-eats driver with 96% satisfaction rate and over 3000 deliveries. Today at around 11.30am, I received 2 orders to pick up at Carl's junior Manukau. I went there, the male staff member asked me to bring my uber-eats bag with me. I said it was in my car. i went back to my car to get the bag then went into the store again. He then said, the orders were still in the making and not ready. I sat quietly in the store and waited for the orders. After several minutes, a female staff member came out with these 2 orders. For absolutely no reason, she started shouting at me, i asked for her name as she didn't have a name badge. She said "Ramandeep Kaur'' . Im not sure if i got the right name. She started telling me I was late to come to the store to pick up the order. I said when i turned up, the orders weren't even ready. She started telling me they only started making the orders when Uber drivers turned up at the door. She shouted it's none of her business. I said , check your cameras you would know who was correct. Then she shouted she would report it to Ubereats. I said no problem. She started getting angry, and told me she would not give me the orders. Then she started canceling my orders for absolutely no reason after at least several minutes. Her behavior was super appalling and its the worst experience ever. The customers who ordered the food had to wait even much longer to get the orders because her behavior. I have escalated this to ubereats. Also, I hope someone would help...

I ordered Memphis double and regular combo with jalapeño poppers or whatever they are called.

Indian guy at the window / voice com was like dead and had enough of it. When I asked to check if it's my order he said yes and didn't lower the eftpos machine any lower so I could see the amount. :( You got a broken arm bro?

Meal was around $26 (17 for double Memphis + 5 regular combo + 4 for jalapeño poppers

I received my food so quick cause they are cutting so many corners. The burger didn't seem piping hot for something good that came out so fast. But the taste was nice.

The chips was sadly a war crime. Brown and burnt and old and Luke warm. They provided 2 ketchup packets and two napkins. (Which doesn't change much.) The regular looks so small that it was as almost small as the ketchup packet.

Drink was a drink. Nothing special :/

Jalapeño poppers was forgotten. :( I had to go back in to get it. It was nice and hot. Tasted nice. 4 big poppers that fitted a small/regular chip cup. (It has cheese and Jalapeños and corn inside.) If I didn't check I would've been fuming, if I got home with none and got charged that amount. :(

When I went in two indian girls and 1 guy gossip like there's no tomorrow. They did provide my jalapeño poppers pretty fast since it was sitting there and it seemed like they knew they forgot it. 🤔
