Noodle Canteen Manukau — Restaurant in Ōtara-Papatoetoe

Had the worst experience ever I went to order a hot box last week and said the hot one please they cooked my noodles with chilli oil like I requested and was so perfect go into there today and ordered a medium and asked for them to cook it in chilli oil again they reckon no we don’t use that I was like what u done it last week and my mate orders hot and told them please make hot last time was no spice nor was hot 🌶 and we left went to a vape store and then next minute go back pick our order up drive home get to the driveway start eating it and out of spiteful behaviour the guy added both hot piping spice to both to the point after one mouthful we were dripping in sweat from our heads whole mouth and face was on fire and I rung up to say hey urve went and took the spice over board to the point we can’t even eat our food a waist of $35 dollars I said can u please remake them both and he said no that’s what you ordered we did not ask to have our food prepared this way will never again go back manukau noodle canteen you should be ashamed of yourselfs. The big guy that serves rude and inconsiderate laughed three times on the phone and I said it’s not a laughing matter...

Food is cooked well at this particular Noodle Canteen as opposed to other branches. Recommend the Satay chicken noodles (Number 1) as the noodles hold the flavour well, not an overbearing peanut taste, and a few fresh vegetables, firm to the bite. A dish I consider somewhat more-ish.

Covid 19 alert levels 2.5 and higher requires you to make a phone order. Level 2 you can order at the door as they don't answer the phone! Found this out after ringing 7 times before deciding to just drive there. Takes approx 10-15mins for an order to be cooked, and you pay at the door. Don't forget to take a bag as the containers can be quite hot to carry back to the car (parking is not in front of the shop) and they don't offer carry bags unless you want to fork out...

NOODLE CANTEEN MANUKAU!!! Just sharing my experience just now. I am really pissed off as I was standing outside for a long time trying to open the door. It was closed but says on google it’s open. And there was two staff inside ignoring me while I was knocking the door. My friend was also there with me. Then this girl finally looked at us, then I asked “are you closed?!” then she just said “close”. You guys could just tell us straight away and not ignore us. I would understand if you are not ready and not open yet. Just wasted time standing there for a long time trying to get your attention! Two girls there standing nearby looking at me like I am trying to break in! Please do better. We’re customers supporting...
