Columbus Coffee — Restaurant in Ōtara-Papatoetoe

Worst place to have coffee and food Hi I went in to have coffee at 12.30pm 13th August 2019.

While I was doing my order on the counter. I noticed flies On the croissant display cabinet as per attached video.

Upon telling the staff on the counter who is also the manager.

Firstly refused n said there is no files.

Secondly I reminded him take it off the cabinet.

Thirdly it took him 15 minutes to take it out only upon confronting him why it is taking you so long n why you being ignorant.

When asked question ? Would you eat this ? If no than HOW CAN YOU SERVE TO THE CUSTOMERS.

Than the manager asked me to leave the premises. Just wondering is the service of our hospitality industry is rude or it's just me because of my ethnicity I cannot...

Interesting that the low ratings talk about the staff. I thought I found a good cafe to take my family regularly as it is out of the way of the busy supacentre, main centre and mall. However the attitude of the staff brings the rating down. When it is busy it makes a noticeable difference to their patience and service, there is no consistency. The young female cashier sighs and rolls her eyes when you take a moment to decide while ordering, and the older male was shaking his head and frowning when I was ordering. He did apologise profusely to my family afterwards which is why the rating isn't lower but it already annoyed me and marred my eating experience which is when I told my wife we're never eating...

Expected to see this place busy at lunchtimes between 11 30am and 1230. Does die down abit, once lunch rush has passed. I will give credit to the main guy who serves at counter. He kept his cool, while serving lol was busy. Not bad price for meals, however my chicken was abit dry, not enough sauce (to my liking) but! It was good. The Angus beef burger is a must try! Im satisfied with that! Milkshake was abit disappointing because you advertise it with extra topping, but when receiving, no extra topping. Expected it what it looks like on the menu board.
