Sal's Authentic NY Pizza Manukau — Restaurant in Ōtara-Papatoetoe

Do Not eat here in person. We normally get takeaway, however after picking up family from the airport, 8 of us (2 disabled persons) came to eat. Later after lost mail was returned to us, we received a parking ticket for 'failure to validate' parking with the businesses in the block. Despite only 3/4 cars in carpark that night, and us dining in, we also should have an extension on the vehicle due to disability parking pass, however we still got a ticket. Sal's never informed us to validate our vehicles despite knowing they had monitored parking and seeing we were dining in, no decent signage around in the dark to realize either. Despite ringing to get them to confirm to the parking company we had eaten and were valid customers, they promised after multiple phone calls to come back to me but never did. I have now tried to contact the parking company and it has already been passed on to debt collectors after 1 letter - 35 days overdue!!! Not really fair in my opinion. Really not happy after being a valid customer spending $165 that night. Will never purchase from here again out of principal - Service - Sal's would have known we would get a ticket if vehicles weren't validated, they would also know there was a timeline for it to go to debt collectors yet they never helped despite me providing information of date and receipt time of payment. on 7th March, I ordered pizza thru online. I added sparkling water instead of fizzy. When I got order it was normal water without fizzy. I honestly don’t need normal water because I got water dispenser.

So I called store, a lady picked up and first thing she said was We don’t have sparkling water. And keep saying it again and again. No apologize, kept saying it’s out of stock. The phone handed over to Manager, he was like we give you $5 discount(water value), just let me know when you order. But I doubt how he gonna remember it? So I asked refund, he gave me email address that didn’t exist. Yea my email didn’t even delivered

I just don’t understand, if it’s out of stock you should changed your web site. Rather then getting money and send totally different thing then saying out of stock.

Anyways, this place overall has such a magnificent ambiance, it's got such a relaxing vibe, staff is amazing, the menu is over whelming to begin with lmao, so many to select esp my first experience. I had chosen their "THE SALS NBL STEAL" which was half&half pepperoni and cheese. Allow the pizza to rest for 3-4 mins before taking first bite. First bite for me was heavenly. Best decision made to try it out. Give it a go. If not sure what to grab, ask staff and they will guide you with their best selling pizza. Also 18 inch pizza is massive as well, grab a half if alone, I dined alongside with my partner which 18 inch was enough for him and I.
