My partner and I always go to this place and the food is excellent. We have been going to this place in Mt Eden since early 2000 and food has always been good. seen the price increase slowly over time which is not a problem as cost of things have increased in that time too. however when my partner asked for extra mushroom in her Tom Yum Tofu meal the first response given to her it will cost extra $4 and we were happy to pay for this. When the meal came out we received an extra mushroom cut into 4 pieces. The whole dish only had 2 mushrooms cut into 4s. When questioned you only receive 1 mushroom for $4 she said yes and if we didn't want it they could take it out. I said dont worry and we will not take it out and paid for our expense mushroom which is $9 a KG at the supermarkets.
For this reason I have avoided going to Work N Noodle for the last 4 occasions with a group of 4 or more people just because this poor service and attitude.
wherever they get their mushroom from, they need to change their supplier as there are cheaper products out there which could be passed onto their customer. Now you have lost so much more money and will continue to lose this as word of mouth...
Read moreWorst Asian Fusion I've ever had in NZ. Duck meat had heaps of fat, thick egg noodles were overcooked like they were pre-cooked variety from a supermarket, and oyster sauce tasted more like sweet and sour sauce, full of revolting artificial flavours, again probably sourced from a supermarket-quality distributor. Miso soup was in fact a chicken soup with broccoli and cauliflower - two things I specifically asked to remove from my order when paying (yes they want you to pay before eating, no wonder). Clearly other people who posted reviews for this noodle place don't ask for much quality when it comes to their food. My suggestion is to avoid at all costs. You will save yourself money and bad taste in your mouth. Throwing together a few cheap supermarket ingredients doesn't make a decent Asian meal, sorry. I am not Asian and I can make wok food incomparably...
Read moreWok'nNoodle is one of my all time favourite when I just can't be bothered cooking, me and my partner love this place not to mention the Owner Lee is just amazing. He's always so sociable and has a great yarn, always asks us how we're doing not to mention his staff always have excellent service. I've tried few things on the menu and have to say overall my go to is Whiskey Duck but with Chicken and Noodles, absolute fav! Now and then I'll get the 'low carb' means less noodles and more vegetables or the odd occasion with rice. It's tasty, fresh and has a slight kick. Partner always loves Pad See U along with their curry puffs which are soooo fluffy and that filling ever so yumm. (This we order 1once in a blue moon as a treat) Think we have this about every 3rd week as a go too. Portion sizes are huge so I always take the rest home 'bonus!' Always happy to...
