Purr-fectly Delicious Treats at This Bakery! This bakery is the cat’s whiskers! We stopped by for some chocolate croissants, and let me tell you—they were paws-itively amazing. Flaky, buttery, and filled with the most purr-fectly rich chocolate, these croissants had us feline like we were in pastry heaven. The ambiance? Absolutely claw-some! A cozy, inviting spot where you can sit and whisker your troubles away with delightful treats. The staff was meow-nificent—kind, attentive, and clearly passionate about their craft. Every bite of the croissant was like a little purr-adise. If you’re in search of a bakery that truly kneads your cravings into purrfection, this is the spot. Don’t paws—trot right over and treat yourself to their fur-tastic creations. We’re already plotting our next visit! Five paw-sitive stars for this feline-approved bakery! đŸŸ

I don't think I would be still in Akaroa if not A la baguette. Sami, thank you for treating our bellies with your amazing bread (we are addicted to sourdough one!) and pastries made with love. I can't imagine eating the toast bread (yuuuck!) ever again after trying your baking goods! It's amazing that you are open for your guests ideas and everyone can find something for themselves, even if it's marmite, jalapeno, blue cheese or pistaccio ❀ Long live A la baguette!

After 1 year and 3 months and 45 000km in New Zealand, “A la baguette” it’s the best bakery of the country, at the same place with Pembroke at Wanaka. Impossible to find a better bread than this both place ! Thank you so much for sharing this part of France here and I'm sad I can't come back before I go home. Tout de bon pour la suite !

The first time I walked to this amazing little bakery, I could smell the fresh bread half a km away. Best croissant and baguette I've had since my time in Paris, and also the only place that does a jalapeno cheese roll that reminded me of my favorite sourdough from Boudin Bakery in San Francisco.

Stop in early, because they may well be sold out by 10 or 10:30. Grab a latte from next door, come buy your croissant, pain au chocolate, almond croissant, or pain de raisin to take away for breakfast, and while you're at it grab a baguette or ciabatta or marmite roll for your lunch.

This is not a sit-down bakery, though there is a bench outside. I really enjoyed taking my croissant down to the waterfront - though you'll find yourself with a very attentive avian fan club if...

Outstanding! The crossaint are light, layered, flakey on the outside, soft on the inside. We were here over Easter so also tried a hot cross bun. O. M. G! Filled with fruit and peel (my kind of bun!). So soft, right level of moisture, great Easter spices. Only wish I had bought two so I could heat one up and melt butter all over it! Walked by again about an hour later and they'd sold out of everything except a couple loves of bread. Get in early or you WILL...
