Stunning and well maintained memorial with beautiful garden surrounding it. Very easy access as it is located on the main street just next to a crowded beach, playground, and wharf. It is a must see monument to take a look at while in the area. A good tribute to those soldiers. See my photos...

A peaceful space to let us memorize the war and soldiers died during the war. The building is quite great and the place is quite neat. Take a while to seat on the bench for resting and remembering the lessons from the catastrophe. This is a remarkable landmark of Akaroa.
