24/07/2020 - I thought I better try pickled Chinese cabbage and lamb on noodles 🍜. The lamb 🐑 slices and the yellow noodles are delicious 😋. I don't find it spicy, maybe because I have high tolerance for spiciness.
They now accept cash, debit and credit card payments (Paywave payments are also available, as well as Alipay and WeChat Pay for those who want to know).
26/06/2020 - I have to go back and try other dishes. I ended up ordered a lamb belly hot and spicy noodle soup, and sweet and sour chicken with rice for my kiddo. The lamb belly hot and spicy noodle soup is not that spicy, but you can add more chilli 🌶 if you want it hot 🔥!! It is NZD $13 per dish, so it won't break your bank 🏦. Fantastic and delicious 😋 meals. Highly recommended 👍.
P/s: I found out that they can change the meat to suits your diet. E.g. From chicken to lamb to beef and vice versa, but within acceptable requests.
6th June 2020 - How I ended up at this eatery was because I was originally went to Hello Vietnam 🇻🇳 but the place was full. I then went to Ancestral (老地方) but I couldn't find any parking 🅿. I was quite hungry and use the Google Map to find a place to eatery and found this eatery within the vicinity. I'm glad to make the right choice to have this delicious 😋 meal.
The chef recommended that I try their lamb noodle soup (羊肉烩面) 🍜. It is served with thin lamb 🐑 slices, a few pieces of Chinese cabbage (bok choy) and two small quail eggs 🥚. I have to say that it was delicious 😋.
The noodle texture was different; handmade, silky [smooth] and less bouncier compare to machine made noodles. The soup/ broth was very flavoursome with a bit of spiciness from grounded white pepper. They use and boil the lamb chops 🥩 + plus other ingredients to make the soup/ broth and simmer it overnight. Hence, the soup/ broth is white in color and taste good 👍. It definitely goes well with chopped coriander leaves and [lacto] fermented garlic cloves.
Overall, it was a good experience
Good portion sizes.
This is a child-friendly restaurant.
This is a licensed (🍻🍸🍷🍾🍹🍺) eatery. There is no outdoor dining area.
There is plenty of onsite parking 🅿.
They accept cash and EFTPOS but no credit card payments (Paywave payments are not available, however they accept Alipay and WeChat Pay for those who want to know).

Read moreHad been waiting for around 50 minutes before dinner time (around 4.00, can you imagine?) and wasn’t informed by the waiter that we needed to wait for so long. Though he did that to other customers later on. Guess it’s because there were too many online orders and somehow the waiter became so grumpy. I don’t want to blame him that much, after all, he’s too busy and there’re more orders coming. But it’s not customers’ faults either. We should have been informed earlier that we needed to wait for so long so my friend didn’t have to suffer from hypoglycemia. Plus, the food quality isn’t stable. This time, it’s awful. My dish is too salty!! Maybe the boss needs to rethink accepting too many online orders while there’re many customers waiting at the restaurant. Everyone isn’t happy. Food quality and employees’ wellbeing are equally important. I could spend the same amount of money to have so much more delicious food within a...
Read moreLooks can be deceiving. But do not let this put you off. From the outside, this restaurant does not look inviting, with its plain interior and white industrial fluorescent lighting. And there are two whiteboards on the wall with menu items scrawled in mostly Chinese. But I'm so glad we went in. Don't be worried about the menu items on the whiteboards, as they have a normal menu folder with pictures and descriptions in both Chinese and English. Delicious food, excellent value for money. I really like that they don't over salt their dishes like too many Chinese restaurants, which is great because you can always add salt at the table if you wish. Friendly service, English is good enough to get by. Hint: It's not on the menu but don't be afraid to ask.. a delicious and healthy off-menu option is to ask for stir fried fresh veges in garlic sauce ( Bok Choy when we...
