DTA - Indian Restaurant Riccarton — Restaurant in Christchurch

DTA is a relatively new restaurant offering both eat-in and take out. It is the in-house restaurant at the Grand Riccarton Hotel, so is not immediately obvious. As an in-house restaurant the decor is toned down, but pleasant. The staff are both friendly and attentive. The menu choice is smaller than you might expect at an Indian restaurant, but the food was well cooked, being very well spiced and delicious. I had Paneer Padkora entree, which is made using their own made Paneer. It was my first try of tbis dish and I wasnt disappointed. For main I had Chicken Kadhi (hot) with plain rice and Naan. Matter: So i came here trying for lunch and i actually loved their variety for the lunch menu... got to know its a new place with variety of vegetarian, chicken and lamb dishes... the appetizers were tasty af....i got the Samosa with chana(Vegan dish)... loved it... Then later on i tried their special of day dish which was Masala Dosa(vegan dish).. and honestly loved the tangyness of the sambar dal... i also got butter chicken with rice packed... and i loved the flavour profile of it!
