We dined at Sai Rung on Valentine’s Day with high expectations but were left disappointed by the poor service. Despite having a booking and the restaurant not being full, we waited 45 minutes just to get water—only after requesting it at the bar. Drinks and entrees took a long time to arrive, and while the waitress insisted on taking our main course order after entrees, she took the menus away and never returned.

The service felt disorganised, with staff rushing around (literally running in and out of the kitchen doors) yet little seemed to get done. The food itself was underwhelming, and we decided to leave before ordering mains due to the lack of service.

The owner will respond with claims about how busy the night was, but the reality is that the restaurant was not full. Saw this pop up on Uber Eats and as I'd been hearing good things about them, I gave it a go. No delay with delivery and food arrived still hot. At first I was a little disappointed with the portion size, but once in my bowl it was the perfect helping. My order of sweet and sour chicken with extra chillies was delicious. This was authentic tasting sweet and sour done perfectly. If you want glow in the dark sweet and sour with battered meat, this isn't for you. Wanted so much to love the new Thai restaurant that’s just opened, but sadly we were very disappointed. The curry puffs and spring rolls were standard fare. The pad Thai was just ok. However, the pork larb was very plain tasting, as was the green papaya salad. The beef massaman curry was awful. The quality of the meat was very poor. The rice portions were unusually small.
