POSTED ON FB HAMILTON PAGES! SERVICE & RACIAL PROFILING. HAVE TO PAY A TIP 😳 & THESE PEOPLE'S REVIEW KEEPS GETTING DELETED BY RESTAURANT.
( shoutout to the young uni students working that night the young man and lady were very nice and refilled our drinks for us they seemed to have started their shift right after we got our food around 6:30pm)
SO If you wanna read this bible long rant go ahead I just thought that I would leave my 10cents here that nobody asked for since schools out and parents will probably be looking for nice places to take the family out for dinner at some point during these holidays. SO maybe avoid Adriana‘s restaurant. now this is based off my own personal experience and why I say don’t go there is because the food is not good for $40-$50 a plate that can be well spent at any other restaurant in Hamilton and the servings are small I honestly got half a potato and half a fish fillet with a drizzle of sauce for $45 im not even joking And that’s not the worse part this is aside from the the racial profiling and ignorance of the owner .
So first red flag: Me and my partner (Maori & filipino) went to Adriana‘s restaurant without a booking and the lady at front told us only one table was available, the table at the entrance of the door squished into the corner. We had no problem and we’re happy to be seated. Until two minutes later when another couple (Caucasian) came and asked the same thing as us but for some reason the lady gave them multiple seating choices of what was available.
Second red flag: Soon after being seated we were asked by the same lady if we would like a water while we look over the menu to which I replied that would be great thank you, we ended up never getting the water and we had asked two more times after for water and if we can order and each time we were told yes no problem….
BRUH The water never came and they didn’t take our order until 45 minutes later, meanwhile people who came in after us were already getting served. I worked in a restaurant so I get it’s busy but the service was the issue here because even the couple who came in after us had been given water right away had their order taken and were now eating while we still hadn’t had our order taken or even given a water. also 3 other tables one which had 10 people seated who all came in well after us were served and eating before us… OH MATE I wanted to leave but my partner had a long day at work and I wanted to treat him to good food as the reviews said it was good so we stayed on.
After we finally got to order we waited another 45 minutes while other people once again were served and eating before us we payed and left and when we stepped outside an Indian man approached us and said he noticed the servers ignoring us and said the same thing happened to him and that he had taken notice that us three were the only people of colour in that damn restaurant.
Oh one more thing we were also made to tip for such bad service, I was very confused about the reviews until I wrote one and it got deleted that’s why lots of the reviews are good they delete the ones that make them look super bad. During this service we remained polite and held our mana but will never reccomend this to others or ever go back.
Ok rant...

I took my wife for a date night yesterday. From the moment I stepped inside, till the time I left, all I experienced was JOY. I was greeted by a staff with a very warm smile. With quick wit and a mischievous twinkle in their eye, they made me feel like an honorary member of the pasta-loving club. The service is truly exceptional, blending efficiency and humor to create an experience that's as delightful as finding extra meatballs in your spaghetti.
The food we ordered was chicken, fish and vegetables. Everything we ordered was really delicious, the meat juicy, served hot and fresh!!!
Here's my experience: My reservation was at 8 pm, we were super hungry, so we jumped right into the mains with drinks. I ordered a beer and my wife got herself a Baileys. Five minutes later, I changed my mind, didn't want to drink anything cold so I called the staff and said if they have not opened the beer, I could have a glass of Merlo instead. In the corner of my eye, I saw another staff member bringing my beer from the kitchen as I was talking and she had already opened the bottle. She didn't know that I was making the request to the other staff member.
In a situation like this, usually, the customer apologises and drinks the beer since that's the right thing to do. However, both staff members simply smiled and said that's ok, no stress at all, we'll get you the Merlo. Don't stress about the beer. We will take it back.
Now that's what I call "A world-class customer service". It is simply good customer service in a short window of time that makes it an exceptional experience for customers like myself.
It doesn't stop there. For some reason, my wife and I lost track of time and had a couple of more drinks and we suddenly realised it was around 9:30 pm and no one else was in the restaurant. All the customers have finished their dinner and left.
I quickly asked one of the staff members what time they close and if we were holding them back from closing for the day. Again, they simply smiled and said, we will close whenever you finish. No rush.
I was absolutely blown away by this level of customer service.
Our friendly Anne (Owner of Adriana's Restaurant) was sitting patiently at the corner table and we made small talk. I got to know the beautiful history of Adriana's Restaurant, she introduced me to the head chef who was also her son and I complimented the exceptional dinner they served us.
To wrap up this delightful feast, I couldn't resist indulging in their Tiramisu. It was a dessert that tasted like a slice of heaven sprinkled with cocoa dust. Each spoonful was a delightful blend of coffee-soaked ladyfingers and velvety mascarpone, with a touch of sweetness that made my heart skip a beat. It was the perfect ending to a meal that left me with a permanent smile and a belly full of laughter.
Adriana's Restaurant is a culinary treasure trove where exceptional service, personal touches, and outstanding flavors converge. It's a place where the pasta is the star, the laughter flows like wine, and you'll leave feeling like you've just shared a meal with your most hospitable Italian...
Read morewhile i was eating my meal here, my italian ancestors were really speaking to me. the bruschetta was so yummy, although my only complaint is the portion for the price. THE PASTA WAS OUT OF THIS WORLD, my italian great great great grandmother would be so happy be this dish, never met her but i know she was happy to see me eating some GOOD italian food for once (i am very picky to the authenticity when it comes to italian food). i think they changed management, but i think the current management have kept the recipes from the previous owners because IT IS ITALIAN CUISINE FOR SUREEEE SHEEEESH. the lasagna was so hearty and delicious, would like more herbs to be used but it still very tasty i likeeeee! OH THE TIRAMISU… ok i was so full i thought i wasn’t gonna finish an entire dessert but guess what? I DID. it was so amazing, honestly it was better than my mum’s tiramisu. the best one i’ve had. overall, adriana’s had delicious food, speedy and friendly service, and i liked the atmosphere! only thing is that it was a bit squished and very simple decor, but not really complaining about it too much. i will be back guys, trust. this place...
