Crafty Casual Sophistication with a fantastic vibe!! There are cultish followings for a lot of things these days... Star Wars, Hobbits, Pokemon's and Coffee brands come to mind... "The Beer Spot" is a brilliant concept. Actually its way more than a concept, its now part of our lives. We've been "indoctrinated" by the variety of smooth, sweet, raw, exotic, real and unpretentious beers on tap. We're already planning our next visit and my colleagues at the office are keen to drop in to enjoy a craft beer, cider, or even a wine before our year end function. Take note though... this is not a pub, or bar, or pick up joint. Real people, with real lives, who enjoy a good laugh because they work hard, come here to shoot the breeze or spin a good yarn with...

The Beer Spot, non Beer review.

I'm not a beer drinker at all, so going into this place, I knew I would have limitations on what I could order.

Luckily the staff at The Beer Spot are... Spot on! They picked up on my resting confused face and offered assistance. They offered me a taster of 3 non beer alcoholic drinks. The Peach cider, Sangria & Ginger beer (ok this has beer in the title)

I ordered the Ginger beer and Sangria later and enjoyed the flavours of both immensely. I've had my fair share of Sangria's and alcoholic ginger beers. The Beer Spot seemed to have got the balance right.

The staff were super attentive and also happy to let me and my mate jabber away for hours.

Great spot for refreshments and catch...

Great place with good beers and different food truck every week. The truck can be seen on the website and they are all pretty good if not great!

Different beers are available each month with special events for new brewers With such a selection you will definitely be able to find something you like. You can also get a haircut while you drink if that is your jam.

Parking can be a bit of an issue but there is more parking behind the Chinese restaurant next door and you can just walk across. Or just uber.

Staff are really friendly and great for some good advice if you're stuck due to there being too...

REVIEW RANGER RATING = 4/5 Location = Average 3/5 Parking = Average 3.5/5 Overall Ambiance = Good 4 /5 Quality of bar food = Average 3.5/5 Beer Selection = Great 5/5 Beer taster = 6 samples(equates to 2 glass beer) Price = 22$ Impressed with the craft beer selection, basic ambiance with old furniture, need to focus on re arranging seating areas. if you are giving me 6 glass of beers in a wooden holder- i would require a place to park them and enjoy my beer. Cheers for the awesome time guys. friendly bar tender.

A fair brewery with a large selection of beers. The selection really does cater for all tastes, and the arrangement of the menu groups the beverages by type - this was a great way to order. Prices are premium prices, with $10.00 NZ being the starting point for any beer (from what I could tell). I find this to be at odds to the purpose of providing an extensive selection. The atmosphere is somewhat industrial but not too imposing. There is a small barber shop contained in the premises too.

I cannot recommend the beer. The prices are equal to daylight robbery. It is just beer people!! Lastly, we know that the majority of hops in beer comes dried and pelletized. When we ask if an IPA was was dry hopped and with what hops, we hope for an intelligent answer. Not a snooty “all beer is dry hopped” answer from an obvious amateur. You’re not going to get it at this place people... move along if you are looking for something authentic. There are better options in Auckland.
