Our group of foodies went to Amador today to enjoy the sunshine, while the sun was still shining! A few of us were attracted to the Salted caramel espresso martini so we all ordered that, the cosmopolitan was also very nice (I had a sip!) and the mocktail was also so pretty! We also got lots of nice food from their snacks menu provided by Bite Club (definitely enough for a meal!) and particular mention of their fried chicken pieces and their Reuben loaded fries, also really liked the pulled pork tacos and some of us had the hotdogs which was a little bit spicy but went so well with the beer! Quite liked the cheeseballs too, perfect with a group while chatting away. Loved the ambience of the place, they said they're currently open on a Sunday during the daytime while the weather's still nice, and they also have happy hour from 4pm-6pm every weekday, with live music on Thursdays! Being part of the press hall on Willis Street in CBD, go enjoy a drink under the sunshine or after work as a group, really pretty space that's also ideal for a 21st or any celebrations! One of us is already planning a work do here as the venue hire is free and they have all the AV equipment already!

Beautifully cooked steak sandwich. Unfortunately very slow to bring any food out, hard to be sure why given they were only about half full. The poached eggs were served with a large helping of water that soaked the bread which was burnt enough to taint the taste of the meal. There was a point in time when pointing out incorrectly cooked food would warrant a reduction in price or an offer of replacement. Unfortunately there seemed to only be an incensere apology. We couldn't even finish one of the breakfasts because of the burnt/soggy combo it was no longer edible.

Came here at 11am on 02/04 a week after the business hours had been confirmed by the business on google and they were closed. We proceeded to wait for almost 20 minutes for them to open and they never did, there wasn’t a single person inside. We looked for a phone number to call but there’s no phone number listed anywhere. We wanted to try this place after hearing good reviews before we fly out of Wellington, however because they were closed we then had to rush around looking for elsewhere to eat before our flight. Extremely disappointing

There's been a change in ownership here in the past few months, as the overall atmosphere is far warmer then the last time I was here, roughly a year ago; well the warm atmosphere... and the staff explaining that there was a COO. In all seriousness though, whoever the new management are seem to be making a fantastic impact on this hidden little, wine and dine.

A relaxed ambience is the first thing you notice walking in, followed by a fairly delectable menu of wines, cocktails and melt-in-your-mouth Cafe food that, when paired together, guaran(fckin)tee you have an enjoyable time. Plus I, admittedly had to be impressed by how quickly the orders were brought out, on a Friday night.

Long story short, couldn't recommend trying it more if you're...

A bijou gem tucked away, up a small flight of stairs just off Willis Street. A metro chic wine bar/ bistro, staffed by charming professional staff confident in the knowledge their menu is first class. The ambience is inviting, attracting an international clientele searching for value. The menu is brief but outstanding, created by a chef who is talented and world class. This establishment is surely the best kept secret in Wellington. It is my must go to when in the city, and never disappoints. The steak Diane is to die for and if you’re lucky the choc mouse or tiramisu will be on offer. Seriously wins BEST WINE BAR/...
