Located in the centre of town. Walking inside I noticed the seating arrangement is a little sparse and the decor has no theme or atmospheric weight. The counter arrangement is odd and disjointed. The espresso machine, food cabinets and pos station being in different places means there's no direct flow for customers to follow and confusion was evident by myself and other customers behind me. The customer service was a little slow considering it was quiet and there were 3 staff on the floor with no acknowledgement from one member despite her being directly behind the counter while I waited for service. The girl who did serve however was friendly. The muffin however... Honestly what the hell did I just pay money for ?? It looks like a muffin but inside it was like a quiche made from rubber. The texture was like an eggy microwaved dish sponge the liquid to flour and egg ratio was shocking for a "premium muffin". It was lemon custard flavour but tasted of nothing except the sugar in the batter. I took 2 bites and threw it out it was so disgusting maybe also more so it cost over $5 which in this economy is not a small amount of money. Ill try this cafe again incase it was just an off day but with...

The service is fantastic this place makes the best matcha latte ever in town. Good value for money and tastes delicious the barista who makes it is wonderful always so friendly polite my latte is always hot and done exactly how I like it. However a couple of times I have been into the cafe the Maori lady I think she is please don’t think I am been racist or political is damn right plain rude and very unprofessional and not very patient as i explained to her that i have a disability and I was struggling to hear her properly as I am using one hearing aid as my other one is been repaired currently so it’s a battle she did not show an ounce of respect or patience towards me to the point that i actually today nearly worked out because she was there I don’t know if it’s because I am South African and assumes I am racist or because I am deaf which is a disability. I am the least racist person and if I was I would not be drinking Matcha latte yet alone as that is from Japan and yet alone visiting Grindz that is the only let down other then that it’s a fantastic little place that I...

We used to come here very regularly, thought we would try again under new ownership - we have now been four times and everytime we have been very dissapointed
Lovely people and definitely great coffee, the barista is the only good thing about Grindz these days!! Girls on the till make rediculous mistakes everytime, cabinet food looks old and drab, muffins
omg the are horrendous for $5.50. They are so doughy, it’s like they have no baking powder or sugar, vanilla, cinnamon or any kind of flavour. We sat for an hour and two customers returned to complain as well about the state of their muffins - no refund or offer to rectify the situation. Not good enough, terrible customer service. To top it all off the bathroom has been out of soap and hand sanitizer for two weeks now, we told staff last week there was none and returned today to find it in the same condition. Will...

My fiancé and I recently visited Grindz Cafe for breakfast, and our experience was exceptional from start to finish. While ordering our meal, we couldn't help but notice how impressively large the sausage rolls were. Intrigued and excited, we took our seats and started to enjoy our coffee. To our delightful surprise, the chef came out with a beautifully wrapped box containing a sausage roll. Without knowing it had been my birthday the day before, she extended this lovely gesture of kindness, truly making our morning special. The combination of fantastic food, wonderful coffee, and the unexpected gift from the chef left us feeling warm and appreciated. Grindz Cafe has not only delicious offerings but also a staff that goes above and beyond to make their customers feel valued. Highly recommended!

Had a beautiful breakfast here. A veggie dish, which I negated by having a side of bacon .... 😂 The food was beautiful. Eggs, spinach, mushrooms, avocado, a surprisingly tasty vegan sausage and an incredibly tasty beetroot hummus. Highly recommended. My wife had the granola and fruit which she loved. She recommended the coffee ☕ (very important aspect to those who like that sort of thing). Great range on their menu. Cabinet food looked amazing. We were tempted by, and enjoyed a delicious bliss ball (GF, RSF, DF). Free from all the bad stuff but cram packed with flavour. As equally important as the food was the staff. All that interacted with us were so polite, knowledgeable, helpful and very friendly. Couldn't say more. Highly recommend you visit Grindz and enjoy some time out
