Leroy's Bar is a cozy and trendy spot located at Plimmer's Steps in Wellington. As soon as you walk in, you're greeted by a welcoming atmosphere with dim lighting, exposed brick walls, and plush leather seating. The music is low-key but energizing, adding to the overall ambiance of the bar.
The menu at Leroy's is impressive, offering a range of creative and delicious dishes that are perfect for sharing. The standout dish for me was the beef brisket sliders, which were bursting with flavor and perfectly cooked. The drink selection is equally impressive, with a variety of craft beers, cocktails, and wines to choose from. The pricing is reasonable, considering the quality and presentation of the food and drinks.
The service at Leroy's is exceptional, with the staff being knowledgeable, friendly, and attentive to customer needs. Eli was quick to make recommendations and ensure that our dining experience was enjoyable from start to finish.
Overall, I highly recommend Leroy's Bar for anyone looking for a great spot to grab a bite and drinks in Wellington. The atmosphere is perfect for a night out with friends or a date, and the food and drinks are top-notch. The excellent service and welcoming ambiance make this bar a must-visit for anyone...
Read moreUpdate: came back again, waited 40 mins and they forgot my order. Staff are still friendly, service is still pretty poor. This one wasn't down to shortages, they just outright forgot somehow. Bit of a shame but I came back and was absolutely not wowed.
Original : Came with colleagues for lunch and had an odd experience, ordered and waited 45 mins before getting a refund and leaving. One of our team got their food a full 20ish mins before I eventually left, others apparently got their food about 10 mins after.
Staff were nice enough but didn't offer anything in the way of service recovery. Would have been good to know ahead of time if there was going to be a long wait for food, especially odd that things came out at wildly different times with no communication or acknowledgement of the situation.
Usually the food and atmosphere are good but to be honest after this experience I wouldn't rush back. It's a good vibe for a beer on a Friday. Pretty terrible for a lunch, at least in...
Read moreOur friends reserved Leroy’s privately for an event. As a bar I enjoy going to Leroy’s but unfortunately this experience was different for us. The bar staff were very impatient, kicking people out the party for no reason, refusing drinks (even though our party was on early in the evening) and even turned the music down at one point stating there had been a noise compliant (it was around 10pm on a Saturday evening and we were only playing Spotify). There was a large bar tab that they were then charged after, even though it would have been impossible to spend on the evening because they limited us to 1 drink per person. It was very bad customer service, you could tell the staff didn’t want to be there. Unfortunately I wouldn’t use the venue again for private hire after this experience. I hope the manager takes the...
