Dear Nozomi, I read your reply to my wife about the incident that happened on Sunday. There are many parts of the story that does not match what happened. There is accusations against me that I find offensive and they are untrue which means your staff are lying. If you had high quality video footage then you would have seen the full picture of what happened. Firstly, in regards to the menu - it is wrong that it was offered to my wife after I "refused her offer (in not-so kind way)". I did not refuse the menu when it was offered and I took the 2 copies to our table. I politely said to your staff that I needed to sort out our daughter 1st before ordering. However, the way your staff offered the menu and her body language was not polite but I ignored this as I was too busy looking after our daughter. The comment about our daughter grabbing the menu is untrue; our daughter was unsettled and very hungry and was wanting food as I was trying to settle her; our daughter was repeating she was hungry and clingy so it hard to see how this is cute. We did not call use the words "bad service or racist" in the shop as my wife was not happy with the customer service and she had walked out. I was the one that spoke to your staff (the only male staff member; you had 2 female staff members in store as well) when I politely returned the menu to the counter. I informed the staff that the customer service needs to be improved and it was not nice that the female staff member that served me was laughing behind my back and rolling her eyes. The credibility of this staff that served me must be questioned. Her story does not match mine and also her actions were witnessed by my wife. I politely apologised when I left and said we were not going to be buying from your shop because of the poor customer service. There was a customer behind me that would have heard the conversation. To clarify, it was only the one staff member that we had a problem with and she hid in the back when I was talking to the male staff member about the lack of customer service and the poor attitude she had. My wife has the right to post her comments which she felt your staff was racist and she did have a "poker face" and attitude. It is interesting how aggressive you are in your defence while acknowledging the poor service we experienced. I do not appreciate how you have attacked my credibility with accusing me of my behaviour and accusing me of refusing to speak to your staff. It is contradictory that my version was that I approached your staff in a non threatening manner to inform them why we were leaving your shop and not ordering. I think I was more than polite with offering an apology even though we did nothing wrong. I have lived in New Zealand all my life and I know and can tell when people are racist. Came in tonight with my partner and got cold plate ice cream base as vanilla ingredients as strawberry and blueberry and topping as mango … it was one of the best ice cream we ever had…. Was super yummy.. i really appreciate how amazing katelyn B was.. (got this name as of our order docket) even tho the place was busy .. had few dining people sitting there…. This lovely staff member straight away acknowledged us and smiled at us even tho she was busy … gave us enough time to figure out what we want and was super amazing at taking order and confirming it… it was so good to see how lovely her customer service skills were and was great at her job… she prepared our order in few minutes and also managed to look after other customers at the same time… she smiled and gave us our order and when we looked back in the shop… she was quickly clearing tables and cleaning the tables for other customers….. such a great staff member such a gem in the team… surely deserves a pay rise.. keep doing the awesome job ☺️ and will be...

My wife and I regularly visited this place for ice cream. Each time we went, service was always on point - polite and positive. They also allow you to test taste some flavors to ensure you are happy with the flavor you have chosen.

It is very close to Pilot Bay. So if you want, you can take the ice cream, walk 5 minutes to Pilot Bay and enjoy the ice cream and the view.

They also have seats inside and few seats outside. We had ice cream at the bar, watching people walk past. Having ice cream at the bar wasn’t also bad.

They have tremendous amount of flavours - from waffles, real fruit ice cream, to cold plate ice cream. Today, we tried real fruit ice cream and it did not disappoint. The portion is generous. At past visits, we always had cold plate ice cream and it’s a must-try! Different texture created by mixture of various ingredients is amusing.

I would definitely recommend this place if you love ice cream. Real fruit ice cream is excellent but cold plate ice cream is...
