Gratitude Eatery — Restaurant in North Island

We've loved Gratitude as our healthy go-to most weeks for the last 2 1/2 years. Sadly, in the last six months they have been closed on random occasions and we've had to go somewhere else; losing confidence that we would find them open, we started phoning and asking are you open today? Then a "sold out" sticker started appearing on our favourite, Jackfruit Tacos so we've had to order something else. Today they were open (yay!) We arrived later than usual at 215pm, only to find the kitchen closed already; the menu has been re-written and Jackfruit Taco's are removed permanently :( We ordered dandelion lattes, then the new(and looked very young) girl at the counter said "just to let you know, we close at 3pm". Final straw, and now I've gone from once being a racing fan to now being an unhappy customer. a) It doesn't take 45 mins to have a hot drink and leave, and b) I can read. Our lattes arrived and we're just tepid not hot. Sorry Gratitude, but after our all too brief love affair with you and your gorgeous food, after several disappointments we've got to say goodbye.. Hopefully you care enough and can turn it around before...

Absolutely loved Gratitude! I'm gluten and dairy free, and most of the time there is only one option for me on a menu (and nothing in a cabinet) - there were at least five things on the menu that I could eat, and loads in the cabinet! It made me feel like I wasn't an imposition, and it was such a pleasure to have options rather than eating the one (usually a bit boring) thing, and feeling like I'm missing out..... In addition, the meal I got was delicious! There were loads of yum drinks options too - lots of diary milk alternatives. The service was friendly and knowledgeable, and there was a nice humming/buzzy atmosphere. Will definitely go again if I'm...

This place was recommended by a dear friend. It was beautiful food don't get me wrong ... However, the staff need to feel bit more alive... No smiles, no welcoming feeling. Girl at the till started taking my order and I turned to see the cold drinks for less than 1 minute and she started to take order for next person! And I was just no understanding what was happening. When I confronted her, she didn't say anything to me about addressing the situation.. I went for a quick wonder around the kitchen and courtyard.. And everyone inside also super serious. Very sad... It makes me think it is not a great atmosphere to work at. Thta...
