We are visiting from Australia. Stopped here tonight for dinner and I called ahead and made a booking and let them know i have two kids. I have a 4 year old and 2 year old who are well behaved. We sat down and ordered the food. We got some looks from the waiter but I thought it was nothing. The boys were occupied by the screen which I turned off when the food came. My youngest was moving his legs back and forth and his heel was making contact with the chair below which made a noise. I was well aware and was about to tell him to stop when the waiter came by and proceeded to tell my son off for swinging his legs whilst seated on the chair. The diners next to us looked at us funny and I was quite upset after this. Firstly it's not a five star restaurant and my sons remained seated the whole time on the chair. Secondly if they do not want kids at the restaurant then they should have made me aware when I was booking. Ask any parent of a 2 year old boy how difficult it is for them to remain still- I am not the type of person to sit by and let my kids run around. However I didnt appreciate someone telling my child off in front of me. In hindsight I should have got up and left and refuses to pay. There are better thai restaurants in the area. The food was fine and passable but definitely being treated like that ruined the entire experience. If you have kids please avoid this restaurant- they only tolerate...

Yum food yuck staff. Absolutely dreadful experience with the staff who were rude to us as soon as we arrived & just seemed miserable at every encounter. I asked the male who took our order if the vegetarian red curry came with tofu (not stated on the menu) & his face replied with the most heinous look as he barked “WHAT” at me, I literally got a fright from his response lol. The answer is yes it does & that’s what I ordered, my friend ordered the Siam ginger chicken. They don’t come with rice you need to order it. Luckily the kitchen staff make up for the rude floor staff! The food was excellent, really flavoursome. The curry didn’t have much liquid I’d prefer more. The ginger chicken was packed full of ginger! The meals didn’t take long to come out and it was reasonably busy but it did take a while for someone to take our order. Due to the two rude staff members we had the displeasure of interacting with I have dropped atmosphere ratings as well however there are many tables & plenty of space in the restaurant. Only one toilet per gender so don’t wait until you’re busting lol. Perhaps get this...

Complaint about unethical behaviour of serving staff

We had originally planned to have dinner at Siam Thai Fusion restaurant on 22 April 2023 at around 6.30pm after receiving multiple positive reviews from the media. We had expected to have a great dinner at the restaurant but unfortunately we did not.

There’s a waitress ( unsure of the name: middle aged , fringe with pony tail ) behaved rudely and unprofessionally. The lady given us a unfavorable seat (somewhere near the kitchen). We were trying to request for other empty seats, knowing that lots of seats were unoccupied. However, the lady replied that all the unoccupied seats were all reserved. We tried asking again if really all of them are reserved? Surprisingly, the lady said: Yes, if you don’t want this, you can just GO OUT!

The person is not tactful. The service given was pathetic and it has ruined our beautiful evening as well as our trip to New Plymouth.

I hope the person in charge can look into this matter seriously and take necessary actions to improve the...

Had a lovely dinner here with my sister. Portions were a great size and the service was great and very quick. We shared the bao sliders starter (tasty but the sauce was a bit strong/overwhelming), massamun curry with vegetables and tofu with medium spice (not very spicy at all; flavor was fantastic!!), the egg net pad Thai with chicken (so yummy!), roti bread (came with a coconut peanut satay sauce that was flavorful but very strong peanut taste) for the main meal and shared the lychee lime sorbet and Thai iced tea ice cream for a sweet treat. Our favorites were the curry and the Thai iced tea ice cream!

The flavors at this Thai restaurant were quite confusing. The Tom Yum seafood soup was overly salty with hardly any of the signature sweet-and-sour balance, and the portion was very small. The papaya salad had way more carrot than green papaya — it really should be called a carrot salad — and the taste was overwhelmingly sour. Every dish we ordered lacked balance and authenticity, which was quite disappointing.
