I must start my brief rant prefacing the fact I had a head cold on the day of my visit and as such may have dimmed my experience in a way. To begin, the 2 stars proffered were given due to the staff being generally but not exceptionally friendly, and the coffee being adequate yet comparable to the colour beige on a colour chart. If you think I’m sounding grim at the prospects of me returning here… buckle up. Imagine my excitement upon buying a $10 mince and cheese pie, pastry golden, heavily domed, teasing a thought of brimming bovine delight, alas now imagine my dismay upon revealing the truth, underneath I found more air than a inflatable politician, with the meagre amount of filling revealed, the illusion was dashed and the disappointment set in, sadly amplified further by the only cheese been exclusively crustified on top, this caused me to internalise “does this pass as a pie nowadays ?” However, I took it in my stride and turned to another purchased item, hoping for redemption. A brioche chicken and pesto roll, it looked delectable, if only I hadn’t eaten it so that my visual appraisal wouldn’t be dashed, upon commencement I began to wonder if the paper bag it came in had somehow stolen all the flavour and moisture out of it and considered consuming that as an appropriate alternative, good sense prevailing i relented to just leaving it unfinished. After dining here on tuesday i can't say i would ever go back. Granted it was a public holiday and completely understood they were rather busy for a tuesday morning, the cafe was cleared out within 20 minutes of us being there and we still had to wait over an hour for our food and even after being given a table number, the waitress missed our table 3 times before finding us with our meals even though our table number was in clear view. After paying $70 for our meals, it was a very expensive, irritating experience with clearly untrained staff and i would not be happy paying that amount again for that type...

I was so looking forward to having lunch here after so many good reviews. Unfortunately, today was not our day. I have ordered kids' chicken tenders & fries after asking 3 times the cashier if it's fresh or frozen, at which she replied fresh. They were frozen!
