My daughter specifically requested dining here for her birthday. Pricing calculator is available on their website so you don't get any nasty surprises and prices are scaled for children by age. I suggest you book ahead of time, especially for large groups. The restaurant can be a little loud. Meals are all you can eat and water is provided, but other drinks are extra. If you have not eaten at this style of buffet before, you queue to fill a bowl at the buffet, with meat and vegetables and your choice of flavoured oils, sauces and condiments, and these are griddle cooked while you wait and handed to you on a plate for you to return to your table. This allows you to select only the delicious things you want to eat in a stirfry style, and you can keep going back to try different flavours. Service staff were efficient at removing used plates and always asked politely before doing so. There are a range of sides and nibbles (great for fussy kids who only want nibbles and nuggets), and some soups with optional rolls and butter. I found the chicken & mushroom soup really tasty. The dessert bar has limited options, which are mostly ice cream with various toppings, but there is always the option of pancakes. If you have 3 adults dining at full cost, it's $1 on birthdays. Read moreParty of 25 of us, spent over $800, arrived at 5pm but had to be gone by 7pm as we were told another party were coming in at 7:15pm. We left at 7pm talking outside until 7:45 pm, nobody had arrived at the table we were sitting on, not that impressed. The owner also tried to charge some of our party twice, saying they hadn't paid, lucky for technology where you can see on your device the payment...food was scattered so if you wanted fries nuggets chicken nibbles, you had to wait in line because it was opposite the raw food, and the line was looong!!. We had to ask where the dessert station was, because we couldn't find it...and had to order tea and coffee over the bar, by the time our hot drinks had arrived they were tepid... Won't be going back to Gengys Palmerton...
Read moreI have walked passed this place a few times, noticing the Mongolian part of the restaurant sign and thought its a mongolian restaurant. I visited yesterday evening and I must have missed the mongolian part as there was nothing there that I would have considered to be mongolian. The customer service wasn't great at all. Other people's kids were running around all the time. Overall, it felt like we were cheated a mongolian meal experience. We had to appologise to those who we had invited along to the meal. Had it just been my partner and I, we wouldn't have stayed and we would have gone elaewhere. If you're after a bbq all you can eat experience in a 1-2 hour slot, then its the place for you, but i wouldn't recomend it if you're looking for a...
