Pocha Chicken Mount Roskill — Restaurant in Puketāpapa

I went to this place on 19/11/22 and got the value box (6 chicken, reg fries, coleslaw and a 330ml drink, with the half n half option ($2.50 extra) $25 or $27.50 total.

Negatives: For the price, you certainly don't get your money's worth. For 6 piece's, I got 2 drumsticks, and 4 wings broken into flat and drum and classed 4 separate pieces. The coleslaw was so small they may as well have not given one. The drink, well for the price you should really get a 1.5 litre drink. And the chips... Quite decent but absolutely no seasoning!! I bought the meal for myself and partner but I finished it by myself. Truly a rip off for the price.

Positives: they claim the volcano chicken is the hottest in town, and boy do they not lie about this!! It is truly incredibly spicy to the point where I almost couldn't handle it, and I've eaten the hottest vindaloos around! (Indian hot)

But yeah overall I'd still stick to KFC for the value factor. Guess you gotta try...

The first time having their fried chicken was lovely and so delicious! But the second time we went we were kinda disappointed. We ordered online and it was near their closing time around 8:30pm. The honey chips were cold despite they cooked it when I arrived early (maybe the chips were pre fried already sitting there?) We also ordered the garlic chicken. It was hot but eh it wasn’t as good as the first time we had it. Maybe got like 40% chicken meat and 60% batter and chicken skin as you can see in the photo. Maybe it was near closing time so that’s why quality was rushed? Felt kinda scammed and disappointed not sure if I’ll give them another chance… I gave them an extra star for the fast service and easy ordering but overall...

This store you will find inside mobile petrol ⛽ station. So parking is at the station if you can get a spot. First time experience to taste this talked about chicken from my friends. And I was not disappointed. My friends had planned to eat in as there are table seating available. Choice of dining in or take away. I ordered the boneless jalapeño chicken $27.99 And also brought Pocha's signature dish (crunchy almond coated) the Almond krunch 15 piece pack $27.99 Also rice cake skewers

What a feast of tasty...
