I think my partner and I must’ve come along on a particularly bad night or maybe some staff shortages occurred. My partner and I had a booking for 7:30, we got menus but no water jug or glasses, and we waited a while for the waitress to come over to get our orders, so we just decided to use the pay code on our table. We ended up waiting 45 minutes for our food and other people got their food before us, so we enquired about our drink and food and apparently the food was mistakenly put in the “done” pile so they hadn’t even started it. The waitress and chefs worked hard that night and got us our food asap after the mishap was identified, and they all had a smile on their face despite seeming quite busy. Our food tasted good, and looked quite professional. Unfortunately, when the waitress tried to give us a refund for one item that we ordered, we were told we couldn’t because we ordered through the code on our table, so we were offered free desserts and drinks. I think maybe the ordering system could be more efficient, and maybe more staff to help out the waitress and chef, who clearly were doing a good job, just couldn’t do it all on their own.

I had the breakfast buffet for 35$ NZD which was pretty good. I ordered everything in the picture which was all quite decent. There wasn’t a huge selection but good enough for a breakfast, there was also a standby chef that asked if I’d like boiled or pouched eggs (I had pouched) which was so nice! (Great service). It was at like 8am so a bit quiet which I love as I could enjoy my breakfast in peace without any people bothering me. It was quiet and lovely, something’s were missing but a quick ask and they’ll refill it for you. Not sure if it was just my experience but it was very quiet and perhaps I got lucky, it was a lovely experience. 😊 1 mishap: I asked for no ice sprite and was given ice, I asked for another and they gave me one right away so no problems there 🤣

We went to Coco Cabana on a rainy day. The outside area was so cozy and warm with the heaters. They had a really chill playlist and man were the pizzas good! I've had quite a bit of pizza here in Queenstown and I'd say for a Neopolitan pizza, their's was in my mind the best I've had so far. We were served by Liv the manager and she was so kind and amazing. 100% will go again and definitely recommend! (15 dollar pizzas on a sunday!!)

I enjoyed the food, however the waitress (Chloe) asked me to leave when she had an issue with my friend’s review. I didn’t enjoy the customer service from her yesterday, but this was appalling enough to make me write a review about it.

As someone who has worked in hospitality, I suggest calmly attempting to defuse customer feedback, as opposed to letting out emotionally charged responses while in the premises of the restaurant in front of other guests.

Some examples of what was directed to my friend and I: “I’ve never been spoken to like that”, “You can leave now” and sarcastically saying “thanks for the review”.

My friend and I calmly sat there and looked at each other in shock at how the situation was being handled. We felt as if we were the ones working as we had to defuse the staff member’s anger.

Moreover, when ordering, I was met with disgust and annoyance as I was adding extra work for her, when I asked to order scrambled eggs without cream. As a customer service representative, you need to understand that it’s never about you, it’s about the customer and the service.

It needs to be highlight that this was Chloe, the staff member from Wednesday and Thursday, not Liv on Tuesday. Liv...

Food is good. No complaints if our waiter can friendly remind us on how much food we order. We are not used to read menu carefully, didn’t notice the main course like burger and fish came with Fries and salad, and we ordered extra Fries and Main salad separately. 2 people, with 2 main courses, 1 main salad and fries, soup of the day and smoothie…. Can you imagine how much food that is! It would be super grateful if our waiter can remind us that might be too much. He didn’t at all. We were super disappointed at the food quantity, too much to eat. It’s like a punishment at the end. When we pay, we kindly suggested the female staff if they could remind the customer on what’s they order, she simply just said you should read the menu next time and make if sounds like I deserve it. Btw, no water, not serving table when we came in. In a nutshell, service is too disappointing compared...
