Disappointing. Ordered their "Chicken & Waffles". Came to me exactly like the photo, except I ordered the $19 main version instead of the $16 lunch version. The difference was that the lunch version was available from 11 am to 3 pm. I ordered at around 3:50 pm. It was supposed to have Waffles, Chicken, Bacon, Maple Syrup for both versions. And additional Whipped Cream, Cinnamon, and Sugar for the main version. Mine came, and I could barely see the difference between the lunch and main version. The added elements were just too miniscule to matter for an additional $3. Add to the fact that the Waffles, were downright appalling. It looked like it was for children, taste and texture was similar to pancakes. The Chicken was good, but not fantastic. The flavor combination with Maple Syrup was not good. They could've used a bigger plate so the elements don't mix prematurely. I would've preferred the Maple Syrup served separately in a small dish. So I could enjoy it when I wanted, instead of having soggy waffles. Bacon was a no go as well. Neither completely crispy, nor chewy. I got something like 1 day old cook bacon that would have been crispy throughout if served fresh. The bacon was just a little crunchy outside, while the center portion was chewy like old meat. Honestly wouldn't come back here again. Even though they did win a prize for Queenstown's Best Burger. Don't put out items that you can't do well. (Edit: Replying to the owner, I do take my food seriously and I expect food businesses to do the same. Hence the long review on what I enjoyed and what I didn't enjoy. If it's not helpful, you can ignore it.)

It's ok. We were lured in by the pretty alleyway and covered outdoor seating around a weekday lunch, but we quickly realised that this bar feels more like a late night place for the younger partying people to come drink basic beer and dance to the DJ (there was a booth) and all-around be rowdy. Now, it was pretty empty at lunch, but judging by the state of the bathrooms (graffiti and things held together with tape) and just how the place felt inside and the beer selections available (not to mention half of the taps being sold out), we were only really wanting to have 1 pint and be on our way. But, if you're looking for all of the night-time things we personally try to avoid in our years, this place is probably perfect for you.

I ordered a chicken Caesar salad, the salad arrived: the chicken was all black burnt. I told the waitress, if it’s possible to have a cook chicken but not burnt and have a Caesar dressing. Her reply: this is a Caesar dressing. Which is not as working as a chef and I can tell it’s not. So she asked me if I want the salad without any dressing instead… They brought me back another salad with raw chicken… I don’t recommend this place for eating and won’t go back anymore for sure. Not even clean. Needed to ask to clean tables before and found dry bird poo on the ketchup bottle sauce.

Unfortunately a super underwhelming experience tonight. We had to go up to the counter to ask a server to come and take our order. Then sadly the food wasn’t hot at all. Nachos that are supposedly cooked in cast iron pan, were barely luke warm, and so was the pan they came in. The vegan burgers and poutine were close to cold and flavours lacking compared to previous times we have been here. A lot of the chips were burnt too, although they were also cold when they arrived at the table. Felt like everything had sat around for a long time before they came, and food did take half an hour which isn’t terrible but still not great. We didn’t get given any napkins or cutlery either until we asked which is really poor and a teapot cocktail came out with no cup to pour it into and the staff suggested we just drink it out of the spout which although is a funny suggestion, not something that most people actually want to do. The atmosphere of the place is fun and pumping, staff are very friendly but in terms of the actual service we received, it wasn’t good at all. For nearly $30 per meal + drinks, the standard was not good enough and as Queenstown locals were were extremely disappointed. We also had somebody at our table with severe allergies and the staff weren’t very reassuring about making sure that what was served didn’t have any of the specified allergy ingredients in it so that’s something to be aware of if you also...

I wanted to takeaway their chicken tacos so I rang them and the WAITRESS told me that they don't do the takeaways for tacos and I believed her and decided I will get it from somewhere else. Then one day I wanted to eat the tacos and I told my partner that "The World Bar" won't do the takeaway but he said that they do. So he rang them and put them on the speaker phone. So my partner asked if we can get the "chicken tacos" for takeaway and the guy on the other side of the phone said "YES YOU CAN" and my partner got the tacos, brought them home for me and I could not believe that the WAITRESS LIED TO ME THE OTHER DAY ABOUT HOW IT'S NOT POSSIBLE FOR TACOS TO BE A TAKEOUT AS THE CHEF SAID THAT THEY NEVER DO THEM AS TAKEAWAY " plus they don't have takeaway boxes to fit the tacos in.

This behavior from a staff seriously effects the reputation of the business because I then told my work colleagues that they don't do it and later on that the staff lied. Not a good experience. We have been going in there for meals for years just this one time I felt like for a takeout and I was lied about it. The three stars are for food and the honest guy over the phone. I would have given it 5 star but again it is due to the bad customer service and lie from the waitress...
