Korea House turned out to be an unexpected gem. After searching high and low for proper, flavourful jjamppong in Dunedin, I finally found it here. The broth was rich, spicy, and full of depth exactly what you'd hope for in a comforting bowl of jjamppong.
The jajangmyeon was another standout. The noodles had that perfect, chewy texture that really made it feel like they were freshly prepared in-house, and the sauce was beautifully balanced.
And the kimchi pancakes? Genuinely exceptional. Crispy, tangy, and packed with flavour so good I almost wished I’d made them my main dish.

Upon arrival I asked about gluten free options and the chef came out to speak to me and talked me through the menu, letting me know which ones were possible to make gluten free - there were lots of options.
