I recently visited Odelay Café and had an exceptional experience, thanks in large part to Rachel at the front desk. Despite the frosty cold outside, walking through the doors felt like being hugged by a soft blanket. The café itself is warm and welcoming, with a calm and serene atmosphere and a lovely view of the mountains.

Rachel greeted me with a genuine smile and instead of immediately asking for my order, she inquired about my day. It was such a nice touch. I mentioned I was struggling to decide on breakfast, and she took the time to recommend the breakfast sandwich, which turned out to be her personal favorite.

Rachel’s recommendation was spot on. The breakfast sandwich was not only exactly what I needed but also packed full of flavor and freshness. The poppyseed bun was fresh and soft, akin to a plush, big pillow. The egg was cooked to perfection, and the hash brown was golden and crunchy on the outside while soft and fluffy on the inside. The semi-crunchy bacon added the perfect texture, and the secret yellow chutney elevated the flavors, making each bite delightful.

I also ordered a mocha with an extra shot (three shots in total). Often, my coffee can end up quite bitter when rushed by baristas, but not here. The coffee was smooth and perfectly balanced, with just the right mix of creaminess, coffee, and chocolate.

If you’re reading this, stop and head to Odelay Café! I will definitely be returning, and I highly recommend you do too. Thank you, Rachel and the Odelay team, for a truly...

Extremely disappointed with this cafe. My family and I, whom consist of 2 babies came to this cafe hoping to get our children pancakes. We arrived at 11:15 and by the time we managed to settle our babies the time was 11:30. At exactly 11:32 we were refused breakfast service because it was passed “11:30” by 2 minutes. The customer service was shocking. They would not budge which also left us no choice but to order something else so our kids could eat. The staff placed our hot coffees right in front of our kids even though we told them who the coffees belonged to as they were putting them down on the tables to which they did not listen the 3 times and our kids nearly burnt themselves. Not to mention, all the food we ordered was incorrectly made. This was our first stop after arriving from Sydney and I will make sure to tell all our friends who travel to Queenstown to...

A wonderful cafe just a stone's throw from The Remarkables and Queenstown! A great stop before the slopes or the airport! On my most recent trip to Queenstown my partner and I went every morning for out coffees :) we thankfully went enough times to claim a free coffee from their loyalty card - be sure to get one! The staff even knew me by name when I came in for my second last visit! So lovely!

And they have free wifi!

This cafe has wonderful friendly staff, great coffee, amazing food with variety too!

Glue ten Free, Vegitarian, Vegan and Dairy free options. Feeling savoury? The savoury scones are amazing! Feeling a sweet tooth coming on? Cinnamon Pinwheels are for you!

Haven't had a chance to get the breakfast options but the kitchen is full of busy people freshly baking and making goods...

My go to cafe. I just love this place. It's one of the few places where as a coeliac I can order a tea & a scone in complete confidence. The team here are just amazing at checking if you are a coeliac to ensure the food is prepared correctly. I can't fault them and I've eaten at this place for several years. Recently I had their gluten free breakfast burrito which was a 10/10 and sooo filling. And on many occasions I've had the breakfast bun where they bake the hash browns for coeliac. My excitement is real for the hash brown!!! :-) I can't believe I only have a couple of food photos after all these years, but it's a beautiful comfy cafe and lots of outdoor seating. Highly recommend this place.

OMG the Almond Cappuccino was amazing! My husband and I tried the bacon & egg rolls before heading off to the remarkables, the relish is super tasty on these rolls 🤤 also purchased a slice of the fig and prune slice for a snack when on the mountain, the food was super tasty and flavoursome. We will be back tomorrow for coffees and to grab some lunch to take with us up to the mountain.
