Well what a gem this place is and only very new to Remarkables Park. One of the original Thai restaurants in Queenstown, pushed out of the CBD by greedy landlords is now in a much better place in Frankton and the food is wonderful.
I had been sightseeing all day and was so hungry at 8.30pm at night and yes they were still serving (Sun doesn't go down until 10) and they were as happy to see me as every one else that popped into the new venue. I had the chicken satay skewers for entrée, which I probably should have just left as main because there were four of them and Sooooo delicious but way too filling. But I ploughed on and had the beef Massaman curry for main and it was delicious and not just full of beef and potatoes etc. in a standard Massaman but had yummy other vegetables such as cauliflower, broccoli and carrot which I loved. I didn't finish it but gave it a red hot go and cant wait to come back and enjoy the beautiful service and food next time...
Read moreDo not order from this restaurant. Sort the reviews by 1 star to see the truthm Reading reviews shows heaps of people have had a similar experience to us. But when posted suddenly the next day about 10 positive reveiws appear within minutes of each other (no business gets 10 positive reviews all within a few hours, so its clear the reviews are fake and paid for to hide the bad reviews). We ordered delivery and the food never turned up - common theme in the true google reviews. We kept calling and they said the driver is nearly there for over 2.5hrs (we were told 45min for delivery) The last time we called to check again the owner rudely yelled we won't be delivering and hung up the phone. When we attempted calling again they would not pick up the phone. Looking at the reviews on the food it seems we dodged a bullet with average food and food poisoning reviews. Rude staff. Arrogant owners. And paid for fake reviews to cover the truth. Do not order...
Read moreI've been having lunch and dinner at this place for over 2 years now. Overall, dining at this restaurant was a pleasant from start to finish. The special lunch menu was somewhat limited but the dinner menu, which you can be ordered at lunch, offered a wide array of items.
Food was tasty. Just be sure to advise them your prefer level of the spiciness. My friend doesn't like onion and they were happy to leave it out from the order. Food typically arrived in timely manner unless it was fully seated which was understandable.
My favorite dish are sizzling plate, new fried rice paper spring rolls, peanut stir fried on rice, pad kra pow, and prawn fried rice.
All staff were friendly and seemed happy to be at work. They smiled a lot. Ammie and Manow were great, thanks! When they were busy attending customer at the table, the chef served food to the table themselves.
I'll see...
