Service 0/5. Food 3/5.

Arrived at a quieter time in the morning. The waitress was too busy gossiping to an older couple about her break up- that happened 10 years ago! And about her ex. And wouldn't stop talking to them about her personal life, very loudly. Didn't even say hello as we sat down, didn't bring us a menu, no greeting, didn't take our order. We sat there for 10 minutes with no interaction before I went to the counter to order. There were another 3 girls behind the counter who weren't doing much, and they also didn't come to take our order. The girl at the counter taking my order sounded and looked like she had no will to be there and reluctantly took my order. After she plugged it all into the computer, she didn't say a word to me and just walked away, turned her back, and left me to pay. Mind you, she had nothing better to do, just to go stand in the corner again. Not even a bad excuse like "im so busy making drinks, I'll put it in the eftpos machine, and you pay." She just didn't say a word and walked off.

Food was ok/good cant fault the kitchen they were quick. Our drinks took so long to arrive. We were nearly half done our breakfast, which was disappointing.

Get better staff who stop talking to customers about their ex boyfriends and break ups of 10! Years! Ago! And staff who turn their back and walk away while serving you. It's so...

Absolutely amazing! We had the lamb leg and the poke bowl with salmon and were surprised about the high quality of the food! Both dishes were totally delicious and especially the lamb leg on pita is a very good value because it is a lot of meat you get to eat. The overnight lamb leg meat was perfectly prepared and tasted amazing together with the pomegranate, cranberries, feta and rocket. It was a compliment in my mouth and so much better than I expected this interesting but tasty combination to be. The salmon in the poke bowl was super fresh, and even though my partner and I usually don't like pickled ginger we loved it in this dish, probably because it was selfemade here. The sauce in the bowl together with the rice and other ingredients were a perfect combination, delicious and healthy without being too heavy and makes for an ideal lunch. I don't know how you can offer such quality food for such low prices but we are baffled. If you are in the area, definitely try the lunch here, it's definitely worth it. The coffee is also very good and it's a cosy little cafe with a nice atmosphere. We will definitely be back to try the breakfast and also have lunch here...

Food is very good but I’ve always found the place to be slightly disorganized. The whole seating system has not worked once in the few times I’ve been here and I’ve dealt with a few grumpy waiters. Think you need to rethink how the place is organized and find a better system because it’s pretty appalling to have to wait around and then have people come in after you but be seated first, or wait for ages without a waiter even acknowledging you. We decided to sit ourselves down because we were sick of waiting, being ignored and having others be seated first and then got told off by multiple staff members.

10th June 2024 - update. Went back again to give them another chance as quite a few people have enjoyed. Still had to awkwardly wait at the door with staff not bothering to seat us even though the sign asks for you to wait to be seated. Eventually someone making coffees told us to just sit anywhere. Food was honestly not that good either this time, standard has dropped compared to last time? Had a lukewarm meal with not much flavor. My friend and I both thought it our meals were not what we expected based on the menu...

Two of us had breakfast here, twice. This was likely the best breakfast we have had in our travels in nz. They are pretty busy but they handle it well so it wasn’t a big deal. We found a seat immediately and by the by the server took our order. The food came out pretty quick given how busy they were. We got the fresh squeezed orange juice the Himalayan coffee and the Turkish eggs. So if you like a sweet coffee they serve the Himalayan with ice cream so I was all in. The Turkish eggs are served as flavor explosion that tickles the palate. Great fun. A word of caution: our second visit, we got croissants to go and said yes to having them hotted up. My advice is to ask her to to heat them half the time that she normally does. The pastry turns tough and the filling was molten hot! The bathrooms could use more attention.

That's supposed to be chicken karaage. It was dry and hard like a flavourless beef jerky with a rock hard crunch on the exterior. After one bite of it and I was afraid it might break my teeth. This was explained to the waitress and she took the entire plate away for the chef to assess. She came back telling me the chef doesn't see anything wrong with it and it's intended to be like that. I've had chicken karaage in many places and I've never seen it like this. Black, dry, hard, bitter, burnt, served on soggy lettuce inside the buns. (See photos) In the end the manager offered a 20% discount on the food I didn't eat because it was taken away for chef to see. So basically I paid $17 for 5 chips and made to belief it was my fault for not enjoying their creation.
