We came in for complimentary drinks with our stay at Holiday Inn and were served by a bartender/ waitress with a filipino accent. We missed the sign that says to wait to be seated and thought it was free seating so were looking out for seats. She asked us to wait outside and sounded aggressive. She gave us a separate menu, and we asked a few questions about the type of “house spirits” to which responses were curt and sounded aggressive and unhelpful too. So we gave up and randomly chose a drink. When we left, no friendly exchange/ thanks were given. In contrast, we observed friendly exchanges with other customers, particularly white people. Left wondering if treatment was discriminatory. Would forgo complimentary drinks any day to avoid such shitty attitude lol, or go elsewhere with friendlier service for drinks — there are plenty to choose...
Read moreWe have given this a 2 star review and that's really pushing it. The service was extremely slow. Weren't given table water at the start. Ordered kids meal to come straight away which arrived about an hour later. Just a simple ham and cheese toasted sandwich. Our meals also took way too long to arrive. $48 for a steak with shoestring fries. Some fries undercooked, some overcooked and a couple were green. Ordered eggplant and 30 minutes later told they didn't have it. Ordered seafood chowder which tasted like it was out of a can. Had to constantly call waiter for drink orders. Pretty disappointed in the whole experience to be honest and we are staying in this hotel. Will be dining elsewhere for the rest of...
Read moreVery nice indeed. I’ve started with Garlic bread and cheese, Then the Pumpkin Risotto which was very good indeed! I had a glass of local white wine (a Sauvignon Blanc-MT Difficulty Roaring Meg -very good : not sweet but with guava and pineapple notes!) As desert the Lime Panacotta and desert wine, completed with an Irish coffee 2nd return : Mulled wine + Coconut Prawns . NOT PRICEY at all ( I compared to small restaurants outside the hotel and it’s worth it to eat in ;) ) All great I must say I was very happy with this dinner at the comfort of the hotel I’m staying. CASH is accepted at all hotel services :) ( not cashless as now in...
