I don’t say this lightly—Gamma Ray’s served me the best burger I’ve ever eaten. From the moment I took the first bite, I knew this was something special. The patty was perfectly seasoned and had an incredible caramelisation that added both texture and depth of flavour. The cheese was melted to perfection, and the Chipotle element tied everything together with just the right kick.

On my Christmas break in New Plymouth, we decided to try out the local eats for lunch. We decided on this science fiction themed burger truck in the city. The burgers are filled with great charred meat or if you are vegan they have vegan patties. The sauces in the burgers are an explosion of flavours and the buns are fresh. The burger was ok and the service was really good. Their instagram has these pictures of all of these amazing looking burger creations but when you go there there is only 4 burgers on the menu. Felt it was a bit misleading to have all these “special burgers” to market your burger joint but then not have them on the menu.
