This is a Japanese restaurant run by non-Japanese, they serve classic Japanese dishes like donburi, udon noodles, curry, etc. I ordered a Crispy Chicken Donburi ($13).
Ordering I ordered at the counter and paid my meal first. Didn’t get receipt or table number stand whatsoever, then I just grab a seat and wait. From their reaction, It seems it’s not the usual way dinning here. I should have taken my seat first and pay after the meal.
Picking your autistic seat Check my photo for the layout. I didn’t take a video cuz this place is kinda cramped I don’t want to shove my phone into my neighbour’s face.
Water & Napkins Both are self-service.
Food - 5.5/10 Chicken itself is pretty bland and dry. I know it’s cheap and fast(really really fast). But for just $2 more you can get something really decent from The Donburi House run by real Japanese. This is way too disappointing like yeah you put a bowl of something fried + teriyaki + mayo to a kiwi, they will be fooled think it’s Japanese food. No one really cares.
Overall I will give this place 3 stars. The layout is too cramped for autistics. Food is...
Read moreWent in and tried to grab a table. Was shown to one directly in front of a violently flashing light; I have epilepsy and explained this to the maitre de, and asked to be seated elsewhere.
She looked at me like I was an idiot and told me to turn and face the other direction. I understand that not everyone knows everything about physics, but it seems relatively self-explanatory to me that light doesn't just disappear when you face away from it; it's still in your peripheral, reflected in front of you, above you, etc.
I took a seat anyways and tried to stomach it but I couldn't, so I left.
I wouldn't have complained were it not for the look she gave me, or the dismissive manner in which she handled my request.
There were plenty of other tables available that weren't 1m away from something that's likely to send me into a state of seizure - but she looked at me like I was asking for the moon on a silver platter.
Don't be rude next time somebody addresses a...

I used to go to this place all the time when i worked close by to it, i would always get a variety of sushi for lunch and the pieces always tasted so good! They have a great variety of meat, seafood and veggie sushi that you can always create a unique combination! My only gripe with it is that the sushi pieces themselves are quite small, but this is easily justifiable is the prices are really good considering this! Amazing sushi!! The people are always so kind and caring, always make good small talk and you feel like a valued customer and not alienated which is really comforting The place is quite nice, however that is mainly for the restaurant (i think, i could be wrong!) but there are some seating outside which is ok, nothing special but good.
long story short: Amazing quality food, pieces are a bit small but price compensates this, people great and the...
