Normally I am trying to control my diet and eating habits, but it has not been easy when my brother and I are working across the street from Cinnamon Squared. The bro and his lovely wife and team are not only good at what they do in terms of baking but they al have the right people skill for such busy place in town. We’re always greeted with the smiles and respect and not to mention the free mocha and free long black coffee every time we’re getting our cinnamon buns. My brother’s new favourite has gone from the classic salted caramel to now the apple🙌🏽 My favourite and staying true to my pistachio cinnamon bun. The pistachio has a great balance sweetness to it. For me and especially my brother in his own words it’s a definite 10/10 for the team at 41 Victoria St. For me it’s a 10/10 for the Pistachio but it’s definitely a 10/10 because the bun itself is so soft and you can actually taste the right level of cinnamon. For me if anyone says that it’s too expensive then I would say you’ll always get what you pay for. The price is right because the quality of the buns is amazing. So for me if I’m bragging about the store so i should because they can actually bake🙌🏽 As an added bonus to the buns, the team are a great bunch of young enthusiasts. My brother and I always talk about how inspirational these young people are. Great business people. I wish the bro and his lovely wife all the very best with the abundance of many more stores for them to open up everywhere in Auckland and across country. God bless you all and thank you again for such great tasting cinnamon buns. Now I’m gonna try new strawberry...
Read moreAs someone who can't resist checking out a hyped spot, ! finally made my way to Cinnamon Squared and now I totally understand the buzz. I visited on a random Wednesday around 2pm, expecting a quiet post lunch lull, but the place was still bustling with people picking up their buns to go. That alone said something. I tried the pistachio cinnamon roll, and wow what a game changer. I usually find cinnamon rolls overly sweet, but this one struck the perfect balance: Sweet, but not cloying. Rich, but not heavy. Honestly, I thought it might be overrated. How good can a cinnamon roll really be? But I'm happy to eat my words. It was incredibly flavourful and surprisingly filling. Prices range from $6.50 to $9, which I think is super reasonable considering the quality and taste you're getting. The staff were absolutely lovely and welcoming, and the atmosphere inside is warm, cosy, and just the kind of place you want to linger a bit longer. Whether you're grabbing one to go or sitting in, this spot is definitely worth the hype. Verdict: 10/10 would return to try more of...
Read moreMy partner found this place online and we decided to go on a spontaneous date to try it out. We went in planning to have just one… and ended up staying for five, plus three more to take away! 😂 I honestly couldn’t resist. One turned into two, then three - they were that good. I can’t rave about this place enough. The cinnamon squares were absolutely TOP NOTCH - fluffy, full of flavour, and no matter which one you chose, they all delivered. Sweet, but perfectly balanced with a warm hit of cinnamon that cuts through just right. We also ordered coffee, which paired beautifully with the cinnamon squares and really brought out the flavours even more. You can definitely taste the quality of the ingredients and the love she puts into each one. Everything is mixed by hand, and we even got to see a little of the process while we were there — such a special touch.
