City Gobchang (시티곱창) isn't just a place to go to enjoy Gobchang/Makchang because it's the only place to go in Central Auckland, their food and service makes you want to recommend it to fellow Koreans in Auckland as well as those who never tried this food before. Rest assured all the grilling is done for you by the staff.

This is an excellent place to enjoy Gobchang/Makchang (with soju) definitely recommend finishing your experience off with their fried rice in the end, which they fry it on the hot-plate in front of you. Keep the heat on for a bit longer if you enjoy the crunchy bottom of the fried rice...

My favourite and probably the only Korean restaurant I go frequently. Very very authentic Kimchi (which is so hard to expect in Korean restaurants located in CBD), good customer service (they are overall nice and cooks the food for you, no hassle).

I did not expect NZ to have a Korean intestine restaurant at this quality. I am so happy this place is close to my home.

Only Korean restaurant I recommend to my Chinese friends when they ask.

I guess the only problem if you are a non-korean that has never tried this dish, is that the oily taste does not go away from your mouth even after a day, no matter how hard you brush...

City Gopchang is THE place to go for your fill of unique korean BBQ (Tripe and Intestines etc). I've tried their entire menu! (Been here more than 5 times) Each dish is packed with intense flavor and UMAMI. You can tell that the owners have put tons of time and effort into crafting their flavors.

The service is extremely friendly and customer experience focused. They will take care of you and your food from beginning to end. Side dishes are FREE to top up!!!

Honestly one of the best experiences I've had. 5 stars all round, i'd give them 10...
