Oh dear - I don't know if we got them on a bad night, but this place has the atmosphere of a struggling restaurant with no idea how to reverse the decline. The food was pretty average - nothing really innovative or delightful. The service, however, was pretty appalling. The wait person had no clue about the wine list, and we were surprised that, despite being on the menu, there was no Veuve Cliquot in stock. The manager opened and poured our Moet (it was a celebration dinner), but after the initial pour, no one refilled our glasses and there was no offer to see the wine menu again once the bubbles were finished - I guess because no one noticed. We were warned that the food would come all at once, but there was clearly no room on the table to accommodate all the plates, and as we were one of only two tables of diners, I feel this could have been staggered just a bit. Some of our plates were cleared as we finished, but at a certain point, our wait staff disappeared and we were just left with dirty dishes and no offer to see a dessert menu. We gave up, paid the bill, and left. We are usually generous tippers, but I left no tip as the service just didn't warrant it. To top things off, I had spent the whole evening facing a mirror that had children's dirty handprints all over it. I mean, come on Ember, it is a competitive market, restaurants are closing every week, and you need to work much harder to please if you want to stay in business. You are all over social media at the moment, but pointless marketing if the experience just doesn't measure up. You will just end up getting more reviews like this one. What an absolutely wonderful experience we had at Ember! It was a birthday celebration, and we truly could not have chosen a more perfect place for the occasion. We first discovered Ember through a social media advertisement and decided to give it a try for this special evening. What a delightful decision that turned out to be.

From the exquisite food to the enchanting ambience, every detail was simply impeccable. A heartfelt commendation to the entire team for their exceptional hospitality. They went above and beyond to make the celebration unforgettable. It is indeed rare to encounter such warmth and professionalism in today’s dining scene.
