Will Move to New Zealand for Beans and Dreams
I used to be a normal coffee drinker—happy enough with my standard cup of mediocre brew in the Nevada desert. Then my brother casually comes back from New Zealand with a kilo of Millers Coffee in his travel bag and unknowingly ruins all other coffee for me forever. Thanks a lot, bro. Now I’m a full-blown Millers addict who does a literal happy dance every time he says, “Hey, I’ve got a kilo of Millers beans in my bag.”
But wait—this last trip? He didn’t just bring the coffee. No no. He added a box of Millers chocolate, and I swear to you, I blacked out for a second. Thought I died, floated upward, saw a bright light—and it was just me biting into that first piece. It’s chocolate, but not just chocolate. It’s like… if Willy Wonka was raised by hobbits and taught emotional intelligence by kiwis.
At this point, I’m questioning everything. Why do I live in Las Vegas? I don’t gamble, I avoid the Strip like it’s radioactive, and don’t even get me started on the heat. I’m just an outdoorsy soul who accidentally settled in the desert when clearly, I belong in New Zealand—sipping Millers coffee, snacking on chocolate, and frolicking through some kind of magical, misty forest.
10/10. Would absolutely trade the desert dust for a daily dose of that...

That aside, this is the most lovely, welcoming little coffee roastery and cafe tucked in the corner of Cross and Upper Queen Strreet. There is a small, but perfectly formed team with a passion for good coffee and lovely service. They always greet you with a smile, and their coffee is delicious. They have alternative milk for anyone who needs it, and are our office bean supplier. If you need the beans ground, they will do that on site and I cannot over express my fondness for their particular flavour. I highly recommend popping in for a chat and a drink before exploring the central city. You...
Read moreI was there earlier in 2016. In terms of coffee taste, I'd give Millers 7.5 out of 10. What affected my experience though was that they said they didn't do trim milk (apparently because they think "real" coffee drinkers shouldn't be served this). I drink trim milk, as do a lot of people (at a guess at least 30% of coffee drinkers). I don't like the taste of full cream milk. Trim milk is easily sourced. The maximim coffee serving sizes were also small and therefore expensive for the volume. The opening hours were quite limited. I'm giving Millers three stars for...
