Love this authentic hot pot restaurant using food on a stick. Wide choice of food sticks (and plates) and spicy hot pot broth and mix your own sauce ingredients. Seldom see caucasian people here: normally packed with Chinese diners, but no problem managing in English if you come without Chinese friends. The decoration includes lots of fake books - ask the staff about the specific titles it may encourage them to research them themselves. And they will pay your parking for the adjacent building too! Thank you to the lady from 5 Division Steel Pipe for creating this Chinese culinary experience, and bringing it all the way to Auckland.

Fabulous Sichuan hotpot culinary experience! The staff were so helpful and explained the plating process. We went for the medium spicy and tomato twin broth hot pot. The tomato broth was sooo delicious we brought the remainder back home. The restaurant manager was so thoughtful she taped up the edges of the takeaway box so that it wouldn’t spill! Next level customer care!! Delish meats and veges… great vibes, customers for life! Fellow Kiwi Indians, make a beeline! You thought we make hot? Taste a Sichuan hot pot! Get a cloth napkin to wipe the sweat of your heads… 😘🤗😎👌👍🏼

This hot pot place is located at the back of k road. Very spacious and clean inside. Air conditioning and ventilation must be good, didn’t feel hot and humid inside like some other hotpot places. They pay for wilson car park right next door, 1 free ticket per every $80 spent. Spicy soup is actually very spicy although I enjoyed it. If you add some side dishes and meat, you’d pay around 35 to 40 pp for reasonable serving. Overall fun experience and tastes reasonably good.

Although the food is pricey, the flavor and absolutely authentic taste reminds me home. As a traveler from thousands mile away, this beyond the great pleasure of happiness. Fair reminders for locals and English speaking travelers who don’t get used to very authentic Chinese food from Szechuan: it is VERY SPICY, and don’t forget to install a translation app in your mobile beforehand, or, please grab one of your Chinese friend.

Came in for dinner. Didn't mind the selection of meats and veges. I found that the quality of the beef wasn't that great which was the only component which let this restaurant down (I’m thinking this was a rare occurrence as a lot of reviews seem to rave on about the ingredients and overall quality of the hotpot) . The broths were nice and quite flavourful. Customer service was pretty good.

The restaurant is good, but the meat options are very limited, as well as the soup and sauce options. It is nice that it has a large space and a place designated for children, but for the value compared to the food it is considered expensive. We paid $140 for two people. Rating 3.5 stars
