Bar Albert — Restaurant in Waitematā

The view and the decor is very nice. The cocktails I had were also nice. The food is on the small but expensive, average quality. The wait staff were friendly and nice. However the no booking system was very hectic for this place, as we showed up at 5pm when it opened, advised we had a group of 8 at 1 time, but guest would come and go during this time. Was told we would get 2 tables, upon getting to the top we were provided a small table for 4. The wait staff did accommodate by bringing more chairs/stools. There were 2 staff that were very rude due to their frustrations/stress of the situation, where guest came at different times, and we did at one point have more than 8 people in total. But we didn't complain, however the staff told me off while I was up there celebrating my birthday with friends. At the end when we left I provided feedback to the manager. He was also rude, dismiss and argumentative. It felt like some sort of bias, whether age bias as overall our group looked young and also majority of us are of a different ethnicity.... hard to say but I did see other groups received better treatment with being seated at nicer bigger areas, due to their more mature look, even though they didn't spend as much. Me personally I spend over $200, so it was definitely a slap in your face. This place needs better management, and in no way do you complain to customers about being short staffed which is the reason provided for the rudeness. The senior leaders should do re-train their staff especially the manager and the guy operating the lift access. Very poor...

What a fabulous bar with spectacular views of the Auckland skyline. Food and cocktails were great, but what really made the night was the exceptional service provided by Grace during our recent visit to the bar. Grace was more than just a waitress, she was an attentive, funny, and engaging hostess who went above and beyond to ensure that our experience at the bar was nothing short of fantastic.

From the moment we sat down, Grace greeted us with a smile and made us feel welcome. She took the time to chat with us and get to know us, which immediately put us at ease. Throughout our time there, Grace was always on hand to answer any questions we had and made sure that we had everything we needed. She was incredibly attentive, and we never felt like we had to wait for anything.

But what really made our time at the bar special was Grace's personality. She was funny, charming, and had a great sense of humor. She had a way of making us feel like we were old friends, and we found ourselves laughing and joking with her throughout the night. Grace was the highlight of our time at the bar, and we were so grateful for her exceptional service.

We were so impressed by Grace that we knew we had to tip her in recognition of her outstanding service. But we also feel that she deserves a pay rise and to be acknowledged for the amazing job she does. Grace truly keeps the customers at the heart of everything she does, and we are so grateful to have had her as our waitress. In sum, I highly recommend Bar Albert and can't wait to...

Will not recommend this place to anyone. I visited this place with my friend on a Friday evening. We understand that since its a Friday night it will be busy and hence did prebook a table. As advertised on their website about 360 degree view we were quite excited for it. To our surprise when we arrived there the host gave us a table just opposite to the bar with no view. While being asked if we can move to one of the tables with a view we were being told this needs to be told during the booking. But their booking page doesnot have any such instructions. The wait staff who took our cocktails orders told us that he would move us to one of the tables with a view as soon as a table is free. Drinks took 20-25 minutes to arrive. Another 15 minutes for food to arrive. During this same several tables got empty but no one moved us as promised. I went to enquire again with one of the bar staff who said that they are still waiting for tables to be ready. We spent an hour and still waiting for our second dish to arrive. We could see several tables were empty but no one accomodated us. So we finally decided to leave and went to pay at the front desk. The second dish which never arrived was still on our bill but was removed without any apology when we told that we did not recieve that …absolutely...
