The Coffee Club Customs Street — Restaurant in Waitematā

Best coffee club location! Came here twice, once for coffee and once for food and both experiences were fantastic. I don’t usually have high expectations of good coffee from coffee club but this particular location has a talented barista who can make lovely latte art and make wonderful coffee. The food portions are incredible too, they actually resemble the promotional photos. I had the shrimp taco and didn’t expect a lot but when I received my dish, the tacos were overflowing with shrimps and I thought it tasted amazing. The best things about this location is the service. The big man (gives off big boss vibes) is warm, kind and honest. He asks you how everything was as he clears your table, he greets you with a smile. He pointed out that we were getting a discount that we were completely unaware of- the kindest gesture. Hope he and the chef and this location thrives, they deserve all...

Have read some reviews here that say this place is under new management, which would explain the completely different experience we had to some of the less complimentary reviews. We visit many Coffee Clubs and there are definitely differences in quality when it comes to food and service. Our experience here was outstanding. The tables were clean, so too the cutlery, plates, glasses etc. The service was prompt and very friendly and professional. The coffee was made by someone who truly knew how to serve it at the right temperature and the milk held its form right to the last sip - true Barista skills. The food was delicious - feta mushroom omelette and the maple pumpkin salad, seriously a 10/10. Maximum flavour, just perfect. Both of us agreed it’s now the new benchmark for what the other Coffee Clubs will be held against. Will definitely be back again...

We came here for brunch order a burger and a sandwich. When I ask to change sandwich ciabatta to five grain one they told me extra a dollar which clearly says on the menu for free. And we waited for more than 20min for food. There weren't not many customers. We checked with one of the worker and he said about 5min, while you wait, we give you free chips. They never gave us the chips they said they'd give us for free and seems like kitchen didn't even start making our order. No wonder it's so late.

We are here for celebrating our special day and literally they ruined our day. Shouldn't have even come here.

Btw food tastes okay. Just customer service wasn't good. We paid around $60 and I think we should deserve more better experience. Don't lie to customer when you can not give us what you promised and when we ask...
