Saw their billboard out for $30 Sunday Roast meals, it was just what I felt like so went on in.. Glad I did, had a mixed pork and beef roast meal and it was delicious. Meal size was generous, came with Yorkshire pudding, roast potatoes and pumpkin, mixed veges, cauliflower in a cheese sauce, spoke sauce and lots of gravy ( basically everything a roast meal should have bar kumara sadly). It was a big delicious meal. A small sundae ice cream was also included. Service was friendly and prompt, it's a pub so alcohol was available, nice to have a drink with my meal. It was like we were sitting on a street, at night, with stars above us. Beautiful. Even without this, all the furniture provided such a cozy vibe and I was in love from the moment we walked in. When the berry smoothie arrived, it had cinnamon (unexpected as it wasn't listed). I don't like cinnamon at all, but my mother absolutely loved the smoothie. I asked them to make another one for me without cinnamon, and the staff were very nice and even offered to replace the original, but my mother would not give up her precious smoothie. What a cool place. Cant believe ive driven past so many times and not stopped.Only discovered it when a friend stayed there. Such a qaint place. The food was delicious, quick and reasonably priced. The accommodation is gorgeous. Street appeal is deceiving, inside really looks great. Unfortunately lots of roadworks around. I am definitely booking here for my quarterly escape.
